Return and Refund Policy

This Return and Refund Policy governs subscriptions and payments for Bright Haven and forms part of the Terms of Service applicable to all users of the Bright Haven platform and related services.
Free Trial and Evaluation Period
Bright Haven provides a free trial experience that permits prospective subscribers to evaluate the platform, features, and available content before purchasing a paid subscription.
By initiating a paid subscription, the subscriber acknowledges that they have had the opportunity to evaluate the service through the free trial experience and have elected to purchase immediate access to paid subscription benefits and content.
Subscription Cancellation
Subscribers may cancel their subscription at any time through their account settings, where available, or by contacting Bright Haven support at support@brighthavenbooks.com.
Cancellation of a subscription prevents future renewal charges but does not automatically entitle the subscriber to a refund of any fees already paid.
Unless otherwise required by applicable law, cancellation becomes effective at the conclusion of the current paid billing period. Subscribers shall retain access to subscription benefits through the end of the applicable billing cycle.
For monthly subscriptions, access continues through the remainder of the current monthly billing period.
For annual subscriptions, access continues through the remainder of the current annual billing period.
No Refunds for Used Subscription Services
Due to the immediate nature of access to digital content, eBooks, audiobooks, subscription features, and other digital services provided by Bright Haven, all subscription payments are final.
Once a paid subscription has been activated and any portion of the paid service has been accessed, used, streamed, downloaded, read, listened to, or otherwise utilized, no refunds shall be issued.
By purchasing a subscription, the subscriber expressly acknowledges and agrees that Bright Haven delivers immediate access to digital goods and services that cannot be returned and that such access constitutes commencement of performance of the subscription service.
Limited Exceptions
Refunds may be granted solely under the following circumstances:
• Duplicate charges resulting from billing system error
• Incorrect charges caused by processing or billing errors
• Technical failures preventing access to paid subscription services, provided that Bright Haven is unable to resolve such technical issues within a reasonable period after notice
Bright Haven reserves the sole and exclusive right to determine eligibility for any exception listed above.
No refund shall be issued for:
• Failure to cancel prior to renewal
• Dissatisfaction with content preferences or selection
• Partial use of a subscription period
• Lack of use of the service
• User error
• Promotional pricing or discounted purchases
• Claims arising after meaningful access or use of subscription content
Third-Party Purchases
Subscriptions purchased through third-party providers, including but not limited to Apple App Store or Google Play, are governed by the refund policies and procedures of those third parties. Bright Haven does not issue refunds for purchases processed by third-party platforms.
European Union and United Kingdom Rights
Where required by applicable law, subscribers located in the European Union or United Kingdom retain any mandatory rights of withdrawal or cancellation that cannot legally be excluded.
To the extent permitted by law, subscribers expressly consent to immediate access to digital content and acknowledge that such consent may result in the waiver of certain statutory withdrawal rights once service access has commenced.
Policy Changes
Bright Haven reserves the right to modify or update this Return and Refund Policy at any time. The version in effect at the time of purchase or refund request shall govern.
