A ballerina running from her past. A minister-in-training searching for peace. A small town full of secrets that refuses to stay buried.

Jessica Mason left her hometown the moment her dreams carried her away from the ache of losing Michael—her first love, taken too soon in a tragic accident. Now a rising star in the ballet world, she returns only long enough to face the one place she’s avoided for three long years: the quiet churchyard where Michael is buried.

But nothing prepares her for him.

James Douglas—the pastor’s enigmatic nephew with storm-gray eyes and a calm voice that shakes her more than she’ll ever admit. He shouldn’t be charming. He shouldn’t be infuriatingly handsome. And he absolutely shouldn’t make her heart flutter in a way it hasn’t since the night everything changed.

Yet James knows what sorrow feels like. What guilt can do. And he sees the pain Jessica has tried so hard to hide.

As unexpected sparks flare into something deeper, Jessica discovers the past isn’t finished with her—and the truth about Michael’s accident may be far more complicated than she ever imagined.

Can she trust her heart again… or will facing the truth destroy her second chance at love?
