Combine one sassy baker, one sexy hockey player, and one obsessed stalker. Mix well, then sprinkle on some romance, and enjoy! According to Rachel Marconi, chocolate heals all wounds. That, and throwing darts at pictures of her ex-boyfriend. Burned by yet another bad relationship, Rachel decides to reprioritize her life, putting her dream to compete on a Food Network Challenge on the top of her list, and dating at the bottom crossed out in red sharpie. But what’s a girl to do when a certain sexy guy keeps asking her out? Cue in Graydon Green, former pro hockey player. The ice was where he found peace, and also the fame that sent spotlight-hungry women chasing him. After being forced into retirement, all Graydon wants is to focus on his teen hockey camps and help his parents manage their restaurant. That is, until he meets a certain sweet and sassy redhead. The more time they spend together, the more Rachel fills up the emptiness inside Graydon. The problem? Rachel thinks he’s simply a restaurant owner, and she's not a fan of violent sports. How can he come clean about who he really is without losing the woman he may be falling in love with? Especially when threatening notes directed at Rachel start arriving at Sweet Confections. Can Graydon get Rachel to trust him enough to keep her safe with not only her life, but her heart as well? Winner of the 2015 RONE Award for "Best Contemporary Sweet Romance Novel."

Editorial Reviews

"A delectable contemporary romance, “Sweet Confections” is the first of a series that should all be on the to-read list. The romance between Rachel and Graydon is written with the sweetness and affection that makes the reader smile but has the ups and downs of any relationship, without falling into some standard romance clichés. There are a few new twists thrown in with the villain which also keeps it interesting to the end. Overall, great dialogue, realistic main characters with depth and heart, a sweet clean romance, and a cast of side characters that need to be seen in later books. A must-read that needs to have the sequel previewed at the end of this book out soon!" - InD'Tale Magazine "2nd time reading this book and I loved it just as much! It's definitely one that I will be rereading over and over again! Loved... Loved... LOVED Sweet Confections! I could not put it down! Rachel and Graydon had an awesome relationship! Rachel is a little firecracker! I loved how she just said whatever popped into her mind and didn't seem to have a filter. Graydon was just amazing! He was patient, he was encouraging, he had faith in her and always knew exactly what to do when she needed him most. Danyelle Ferguson is definitely a new favorite of mine! Can't wait to try some of the recipes at the end of the book! A huge plus if you ask me!" - Kathy Jo, romance book reviewer

Sweet romance!

This cute romance features a bakery and baker and an ex-professional hockey player. The two come together under strange circumstances. I loved all the goodie references (and the end has some recipes to try), and how the romance develops between the two. I also really liked the mystery in this book, as bad things keep happening to the bakery and you don’t know who’s causing the trouble (you think you do, but aren’t quite sure). There are lots of twists and turns and it was a fun book to read. I really liked this clean romance.

So sweet

This was a great story with a dash of suspense and danger which carried to the end. The story was dominated by the romance (which was very sweet) and the suspense and danger, while essential and well done, was more background for most of the story. There are allusions to faith but nothing overt-just enough to make it obvious that there was a belief system. Definitely a book worth reading.
I received this book free from one of the book subscription emails.

Fun!

Crazy for the Sweet Confections Baker: Rachel love making things with her hands and it was hard being the only girl in the family of boys. They all lived sports, she doesn't like the danger of it. She love her bakery that owns with her best friend. She was never luck with the guys she dated then she met Graydon. She couldn't stop thinking about him. He maybe a retired hockey player but he is so different. He showed her fun and how to enjoy life. It was a great story!

Cute and scaredy...makes me think of fatal attraction, but a much happier ending.

The story of Rachel could be any typical family. Tight family older brothers tormenting, mother waiting to have her married off... The the fateful naught when boyfriend turns out to be a jerk. In steps hero Grayson to break it up. The chance encounter set a pace of romance. The stalking ex and then the secret fatal attraction PR Rep.....WOW so excitement in this story. Humor, friendship and so twist n turn. A lot of action, romance n the character's were great.
