He’s dodged marriage traps for years… so naturally the one woman who sees through him is the one he can’t escape.

Lord Nathaniel Westlake has dodged furious fathers and marriage-minded daughters aiming to drag him to the altar. After his latest close call, he bolts onto the first ship he can find…only to discover it’s headed for India! As if that isn't bad enough, the only eligible woman aboard is Miss Justina Tinsdale, a woman who remembers every one of his past follies. With nowhere to hide, Nathan must face the one thing he’s always outrun: himself.

Justina planned on an uneventful voyage, not months of forced proximity with the man who once made a mockery of her good opinion. Yet the longer they sail, the more she glimpses a version of him she never knew existed—steadfast, sincere, and far too tempting. But is it genuine growth… or simply the charm of a confined deck and a handsome rake with nowhere else to go?

He’s determined to avoid another heartbreak. She’s certain he’s only after conquest. On a ship halfway to India, trust is a treacherous sea—and one wrong step could sink them both.

nice light read but needs editing

This book, like her others, is a quick, light read but marred by wrong words: parish for perish, oscillate for vacillate, and many others. Either it is due to misunderstanding the meanings or poor editing but it’s distracting and annoying. The author should learn the difference between ‘infer’ and ‘imply’.

Strunk never disappoints

A beautifully written romance about the slow burgeoning of love between two unlikely people. The blossoming of Justina and the maturing of Nathan is well done.

Loved this story and the flirtation that occurred through the story. Loved the main characters and the journey of growth they went through. My only complaint is that I wish it continued a little longer. Great story overall.

He almost misses the boat

The rake meets the heroine when he almost misses the boat to India. He didn't intend to go there but it is better than being forced to marry a girl he does not love. He is thrown together with a woman he's met before but does not remember. By the end he could never forget her and wonders how he ever could have found her plain. Kindness is a virtue he has rarely experienced directed toward him. He comes to recognize the value of friendship. Loveable characters and well written.

Friendship turns to love romance.

Uncovering SecretsRegency romance and pirates! Abigail Marleigh is attending her final house party. Her Uncle will force her to marry his choice if she doesn't make a match. She is hopeful, yet resigned. Previous house parties left her with fallen hopes.Alex Bellingham has spent years on a pirate ship as a spy. His cover is blown and he must hide from the pirates trying to find him. A house party is just the thing. He gets to go back to his roots as a member of the ton and hope that he is not discovered so that he may protect the people he loves the most. This book is fun to read. A house party always gives such a variety of characters. Some you love and some you could care less about. The great thing about this house party is that there are more books written about the characters in attendance. This is a series by several authors all telling the tale from their own point of view and adding many dimensions to the story/party.Source: Kindle Unlimited
