Harvest Honeymoon

I enjoyed this romance about a former Civil War nurse becoming a mail order bride to an apple farmer in San Bernardino, California. What a honeymoon as the two get to know each other and learn to deal with each other's challenges. Great characters. A must read.

Loved the characters

This is another fantastic book in the proxy bride series. You can read this one alone and not be lost. The characters in this book are well thought out and are interesting. The independence of Riona was written wonderfully. Cody is a great guy in a difficult situation. I felt the story was great and the characters you can relate to. I am looking forward to more stories from this author.

Wonderful Story!

I found this to be a very interesting story. After living in California for almost 40 years, I was surprised to learn that apples really were grown at one time in the high deserts of Southern California. Amazing! This was a sweet story set shortly after the Civil War with main characters, Cody and Riona both suffering PTSD from the war. Well written!

Loved it!

I loved the seamless way author weaved in Riona's nursing life during the Civil War, her independence and her beautiful approach to the aunt, Beth and most especially Cody, how they brought much-needed healing love safety and security to one another. An absolutely wonderful story; just beautiful!
