Lovely!

I really enjoyed this novel, both the plot and the characters. It was nice reading about more of the residents of Sapphire Bay.

A very confused plot

Caleb is developing a (computer?) program and terrorists are after him. They are killing relatives of all the developers. Caleb doesn’t know that he has a sister – they were adopted separately at birth – but the FBI is concerned that the terrorists will try to kill her. The Good Guy is waiting for a DNA test to determine if they are truly blood relatives, because this will determine whether the terrorists will try to kill her. Huh??? If Caleb thinks of her as his sister, then she is vulnerable. But since they don’t know about each other – what does it matter? And why are the terrorists killing his relatives? What are they going to gain by it?
Later on, the terrorists show that they know the sister is in a particular mall, but they never track her to the nearby cabin. Huh??
Caleb gives the terrorists an old copy of the program (why?) and this helps the FBI (why?). Luckily, once the program is completely developed, Caleb and his sister will no longer be targets/ Huh???
Maybe I misunderstood the plot – it wasn’t very clear. But if it wasn’t clear, then that’s a criticism of the book.
The plot is one star; I kept reading which is four or five stars. The six-year-old seems to act age-appropriately and I didn’t notice any usage or grammar mistakes, so I’d average to three or four stars. But the plot was so confused that I have to bring it down to three stars.

Well written and interesting

This book was well written, having little to no formatting and style issues. The story itself was interesting. The only thing that seemed odd was the build up to action that never happened. I kept expecting more. The characters had interesting backgrounds and were, I think, well crafted. This book is a clean read with a happy ending. If that's your thing, definitely give this one a try.

Just in time for Christmas, a clean, Christmas Story

Megan has another surprise waiting for her. A family one that she never saw coming. It truly does turn her life upside down but it also brings William into her life. That is someone who she might never have met if this secret hadn't come out.
In the beginning of them being on the run, I found it kind of odd that William used a public airport to try to get Megan and Nora out of town. And also that he didn't station himself outside of the bathroom when Megan and Nora had to use it. Of course, it did set the stage for more drama. Just saying.
William is a man of his own secret sorrows. He is no stranger to painful loss. He also has not spoken to his father in 4 years because of that grief. William is someone who easily connects with Nora and it''s easy to see why. That Nora was one little charmer. It was fun to watch her interactions with people and especially William.
Megan is drawn to William as well but past history with an ex has taught her to be way more careful. Besides not only her heart is at risk. As time goes on Megan is concerned about Nora becoming heartbroken when William has to leave.
There is plenty of emotions, cakes and good times spent together as they wait for the danger from the terrorists to be over. There is also plenty of time for misunderstandings, mixed messages too.
All in all, this was a clean, charming, good story, a Christmas wish gets fulfilled leading to a H.E.A.

A very clean, beautiful story.

I loved this story. There's a message of hope throughout the story, as well as a slow building romance. I don't know about anyone else, but this story warmed my heart, and put me in the real spirit of Christmas. I loved the plot line, the setting in the small town, and all of the characters, including all of the secondary characters. Because without them, the story wouldn't have been half as good as it was. Little Nora was such a beautiful girl with a heart of gold. More than once I wanted to reach out and hug her. And I could so clearly feel the love, and respect growing by the day between Megan and William. But it was the conversations between Nora and William, that really stole my heart.

I would highly recommend this story to everyone!
