A nerdy university professor. A guarded coffee shop owner. And a high-stakes Halloween bash that proves some things are worth the risk. Keaton Andrews had his life perfectly mapped out… until his university department was cut and his tenure track vanished. Retreating to Silver Falls to regroup with his family, the last thing the analytical academic expects is to be floored by the beautiful, unimpressed barista at the local coffee shop. For the first time in his life, Keaton encounters a problem he can’t solve with a textbook: how to get Raine Hanover to give him the time of day. Raine is officially on a hiatus from romance. She’s poured her heart into her thriving coffee shop and has no room for charming smiles, especially from a distractingly handsome “nerdy” professor who is only passing through. But when she’s unexpectedly tasked with organizing the town’s massive Halloween bash, Keaton steps in as her reluctant assistant, and the friction between them quickly turns into an unexpected connection. As the autumn leaves turn, Raine has to decide if she’s willing to risk her heart on a man whose dreams are rooted in a world far from Silver Falls. Especially since his visit and their romance will be over by the time the season changes. Scroll up and one-click to read this sweet, small-town autumn romance today! I have my own coffee and tea house, and I’m through with relationships. I’m just going to enjoy my shop, but I certainly do need some more help!!! I wonder

Great read!

Loved this seasonal read. Only thing missing was a bit of steamy content but this was a good cosy read without it. Would definitely recommend.

Really enjoyable

Ok, i must admit to being biased. I love coffee and academia as well as close, loving friendships and family. This book put that, and more, together, so how could it miss? I especially enjoyed the understated romance. A really good week-ender read. The next book sounds good too.

Good...

Keaton is a professor who meets Raine at a local coffee shop, shortly after losing his job at a prestigious university. He’s quite taken with her, but she has decided to stop trying to find romance for a bit. Since he has some free time, he helps her to organize the Boo Bash, and as they work together, some sparks begin to fly.But what happens when he gets a job & has to leave town? When Keaton came back to town, it was just perfect. This was a nice, cute story to read.
