Well-written, feel -good story

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book, given to me by Tule Publishing via BookFunnel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
“A Baby at Bramble House”, by C.J. Carmichael, is a well-written, feel -good story where different couples find their HEA or consolidate their relationship.
I really enjoyed Mackenzie and Craig’s story, and the blooming romance between two older people (Tami/Edgar).
The author writes with sensitivity about love, loneliness and fears at an older age. I also liked how she handled the PTSD dimension.
It was great to meet again Amy and Chet and welcome their baby. Watching the guests working in the room project and the baby arrival to Bramble House was heartwarming.
Edgar is such a contradictory character. He’s humble and has regrets but I still can’t understand his attitude.
This was one of some aspects that felt rushed but it’s still a feel-good and very enjoyable story.

Could not put down

I really liked this book I love reading stories from the Bramble house. I feels like the Bramble house is a haven for those seeking refuge from their everyday life. I loved how the author follows a few characters more then the average two most books do but makes it flow so you don’t feel like you are going to get loss and not keep up. I loved Mackenzie she was faced with a hard situation while she was stubborn and didn’t want to do what was best she found a way that worked for her. I liked Craig he knew what he wanted and spoke his mind all the whiling dealing with hurt like so many of us. I loved how each one of these characters all felt relatable and all felt like your average day friends. Overall I really liked this book I could not put it down it felt like it sucked you in and you were right there with them watching this all play out.

A beautiful heartwarming story

What a beautiful story this one is, I loved Amy and Chet when I first met them and now to see them becoming parents, such joy, this one is filled with heartfelt emotion, fabulous characters and add to that the added bonus of two romances and of course we are in Marietta what more could you want.
It is just weeks before Amy and Chet’s baby is due and they have decided this will be the last guests before they have a break, Chet is busy with the rodeo school but they do love meeting new people.

Edgar is a widowed geologist and has arrived in town to make his apologies for something that he did forty years ago, not looking for love just to make amends, if he can. When he meets another guest Tami they seem to hit it off really well could he find love and happiness again?

Shari and Tami are sisters who have not spent a lot of time together and it is their mother’s wish to send them on a trip to try and bring them together, Tami is single spent her time traveling for work were as Shari is happily married mother of four both in their fifties. Is it time for Tami to settle down and find love now?

Mackenzie is a librarian and after a dangerous incident at work she is on a holiday to recover physically and emotionally, but when her car breaks down on the way into Marietta a Good Samaritan Craig helps her out and they are having dinner and soon her heart might just be opening up and recovery getting close.

When Amy is taken to the hospital early the guests step in and ensure that all will be well for the family to return home, this is a really beautiful feel good story and I am sure that Bramble House has a special something that brings people together.

I do highly recommend this one, it is sure to leave the reader smiling as it did me.

LOVED IT!

* Couldn't put it down (except for meals, etc.); finished it the same day that I started it.
* All the characters seemed so real to me.
* I felt like I knew the characters all along.
* As much as there were negative things that happened, the generally positive things outweighed them - and were gentle reminders that this is how life goes (with good AND bad things always happening).
* The joy of life itself was manifested in many delightful ways.
* Teared up with HEA.
* It was difficult saying goodbye to the characters, until I remembered that I'd see them again soon when reading more of the Bramble House Chronicles books!
