A trial attorney seeking redemption. A baker with a legacy to protect. And the summer fair booth that forces them back together.

Taryn Lawson is ready to prove she’s the rightful heir to her family’s bakery. The Silver Falls summer fair is her chance to showcase a new vision for the business, but she’s running out of time to build her display. She needs a miracle, but she never expects it to come in the form of the man who ghosted her after a whirlwind holiday romance.

Trial attorney Garrett Andrews knows he handled things poorly with Taryn last Christmas. He had his reasons, but seeing Taryn again while in town for his sister’s wedding makes one thing clear: he isn’t ready to let her go. When he sees her struggling to meet her deadline, he offers a proposition she can’t refuse—his manual labor in exchange for a chance to make amends.

As they work side-by-side in the summer heat, the spark between them reignites. But with Garrett’s life waiting for him back in the city and Taryn’s future tied to the bakery, the clock is ticking on their second chance. They must find a way to merge their worlds, or their romance will melt away with the summer sun.

Interesting read.

This was interesting with relatable characters. It was well enough written too. It flowed nicely. The ending was a bit too sweet and a tiny bit rushed I felt but it was overall worth a read.

Taryn the Baker

I loved Margot, she is so lovely and loves to matchmake people. She was usually spot on . I loved Taryn who was the local Baker, also Garret who was in town for his sister Callies wedding & staying at Margots. His brothers were joining him in a week or so and his parents where on their way too. I think they all stayed at Margots but there is so much to remember Called was marrying Brandt Margot nephew. Nick was not someone I liked he was nasty, deceitful , and didn't care who he hurt along the way. He had sold Brandts company from under him 7 years previously so definitely not someone to be trusted at all. I'm not going to give any spoilers and there are lots of other characters I loved but too many to mention. I would recommend this book to everyone. It's a very good read. Don't take my word for it read it yourself. X
