Love triangles happen when you least expect—or want—them.

Mackenzie Dennet is ready to put her past behind her. Especially her romantic past. Moving to San Juan Island and working on the sea pen project was a perfect way to focus on building a happy, uncomplicated future for herself. It would’ve worked, too.

If she hadn’t met them.

Cameron, an ambitious salesman with confidence for days, and Liam, a soulful, brooding artist, are complete opposites. In fact, the only thing they have in common is their interest in her…and the way they both tempt her to give love a second chance.

At some point, she knows she’ll have to make a choice. And no matter who she chooses, someone will end up broken hearted.

All she can do now is hope it won’t be her. Again.

Mackenzie and Cameron or Mackenzie and Liam?

Mackenzie and Cameron or Mackenzie and Liam?Well, this is awkward. She meets two guys that show an interest in her while she's out and about working on the sea pen project and the big fundraising ball that need to be arranged while Russell is out of town. She's mostly clueless about their interest through most of the story. She's too busy. Funny that one of the guys is a distraction and the other jumps in to help her with her project.Hopefully she'll figure it out before she loses Mr. Right. This is a great addition to the series. Most of the characters were introduced in previous books, but we get to know them better here. This is my voluntary review of a copy I received from the author.

A chance for Lottie

A Spot At Starlight Beach continues the story of trying to save Lottie, the whale that has been living in a park for years. They are wanting to have her moved to a cage they are building in the ocean to retire to. Russell is going to make a movie in Europe so he leaves Mackenzie to pick up the mess from the last assistant stealing all the money and leaving the bills unpaid. But Mackenzie is like a bull dog after a bone and she starts getting the bills caught up and getting donations to help build up the money to pay for the cage and moving Lottie. She is also working on the Blackfish Ball to get the big donations. Mackenzie meets Liam that has come to the island to make a documentary on Lottie and being paid by Russell. He also can paint beautiful pictures he is selling at the Farmer's Market, except for one of the Tea Room he gave to Patty and one he did of Mackenzie in front of the Tea Room he kept for himself. He has some competition for Mackenzie in Cameron. Cameron is trying to get Mackenzie to come work at the tour company he works at. He is getting really pushy and she sees so much of her ex in him. But she is taken with Liam. She has not seen who has been right there in front of her till the night of the ball. He is handsome, helpful, and always there for her.

Clean, heartwarming romance!

A Spot at Starlight Beach is a clean, heartwarming romance. Russell exits the US leaving Mackenzie in charge of all things Lottie. As Mackenzie battles her way through the tangled mess she inherits she meets a supremely confident salesman and a brooding artist. In was interesting to see Cameron’s splashy gestures along side Liam’s quiet help. You will not want to miss this well written book as Mackenzie battles to restore her self confidence and discover if she is willing to give love another chance. I could not put the book down. Brig on book four!
