Great Book

This is one of the best stories I've read. The author said it to a few years to write. It's evident that much careful thought went into it. I appreciate that she kept the story clean of sexual content and profanity.

It's such a unique story that it is hard to compare it with others that I've read. This is one of those books that I couldn't put down until I finished it.

I love how the main character begins the story weaker than the rest of the characters and still manages to become the hero.

Original and entertaining.

I received a free copy for an honest review. I have to admit, I mainly read this for the romance of it. When it says slow-sizzle, it means slow-sizzle. I like Ambry but her main fault is that she doesn't believe in herself enough. Talon is amazing but his ability to keep so many secrets is astounding. How does one not crumple from the inside because of it? I get his intentions, but geesh. I like the book and am intrigued by Ambry and Talon's story.

Fast Paced, Intriguing Storyline

I really enjoyed this story! The story kept moving and never felt slow. The characters were interesting. Pieces of the story that I expected to be game changers weren’t, which left the game changing pieces as surprises! Some of the character’s interactions felt unresolved or awkward but it wasn’t enough to distract from the overall story. Excited for the next one!

Well Written & Entertaining 💖💖💖

How entertaining and well written this first book was!! It is the first that I've ever read from this tremendously talented author! I'm left with baited breath desperately wanting to begin the next book. The cliffhanger wasn't the most painful I've ever read, but it's definitely torturous! The world that Ms. Pearson created is so imaginative and unique. It's both a brutal place and also such a very sad existence. When what your meant to be is stripped bare you need a saviour. Along comes these amazingly detailed characters who want to make things as they once were!! This was a page turner that kept throwing surprises at us. Cannot wait to begin book two!!!
