A War for Truth is a great second book in the series and I've again devoured it in a couple of days. The storytelling and emotions are so on point, reading it I feel as I can see where the characters are as the descriptions are vivid and detailed. Also didn't see that twist at the end coming, which was great.
Different from the first one of the series, book has a bit too many errors in them (wrong tense used, "to" instead of "too" and the like) - things a good editorial team should've picked up. There were also a couple particular descriptions that made no sense which are minor but they took me out of my flow reading.
2 in chapter 4:
1. Trystan is described as sitting, Alixa standing (not bending down or him getting up). He puts his head into her neck, meaning she must be like half his size?
2. using the phrase "china-doll" in a world where china doesn't exist. Porcelain-doll would've taken care of that little error.
1 in chapter 24:
Ramsey saying he hasn't used his crystal in years, when he had used it all the time during the book beforehand to do magic.
1 in chapter 25:
Alixa is complaining that the walking made her tired, but they've been riding on horseback the whole time? A little while later this gets said again.
As mentioned, these are minor, but are just quite obvious so they took me out of the flow a bit. I'd only take a little bit off of my rating but knocking it down a whole star doesn't seem fitting as the story was still great, just for my taste a couple too many errors on the grammar side. Ignore them and you'll have a great time with this book!
