Twenty-year-old Amelia Marian isn’t afraid to stand up for herself. When a green-cloaked stranger enters her garden, she’s quick to draw her dagger and trap him in the shed. She knows the rumor of the thieves in the forest, and this blue-eyed rebel asking for her trust perfectly fits the description. "Trust is the sharpest weapon," she warns him. He grins and vanishes into the night.

The encounter haunts her almost as much as the golden whispers that come when she touches Sherwood's ancient trees. Through roots and bark, the forest shows her visions of a future she doesn't understand: crumbling castles, revolution, and an archer moving like a living shadow through emerald darkness.

When Sheriff Vortigern of Nottingham threatens her father and forces Amelia into a betrothal, she has nowhere left to turn but the forest. She uses the trees to find Robin Hood, the outlaw she shouldn't trust but can't resist.

As he steals from the king's corrupt collectors, she's trapped between duty and desire. Rebellion ignites. Their stolen moments turn dangerous, and they must choose: lose each other to tyranny, or trust their love can change the world.

Emerald Shadow, Golden Whisper—where the trees remember everything, and some secrets are worth dying for.

Creative Robin Hood retelling with Arthurian Elements

I LOVED this book! Our FMC (Mia) is a strong and capable female lead who has a love story with the slay MC (Robin Hood). They come together to help fight the corruption in Nottingham and bond over their ✨special (mabye magical)✨ abilities. This book is a super creative Robin Hood retelling that also included Arthurian elements. It’s packed full of action, adventure, magic, and romance ;)You’ll love this book if you like:-no spice-Robin Hood /The Arthurian Legend-Magical abilities related to nature-Tension/Yearning-found family of bandits-Plot Twists-Charming MCOverall super enjoyable read! This is definitely the start of a series because it ended with some things being left unresolved, so I’m excited for the next one!

Interesting Magical Retelling

“I want you,” he said, so quietly she almost didn't hear. “I want you in ways that terrify me. Ways that make me forget why it's impossible, why it could never work.”This Robin Hood romantasy has forbidden love and forced-proximity with magic, danger, adventure, and a slow-burn romance. It has wonderful twists, a nasty villain, interesting magical “gifts”, and surprising magical characters.Amelia Marian (Mia) is quick witted, caring, and brave. I loved that even when she was scared or worried she did what she knew was right. I loved her quick trust of Ronan. I enjoyed her development of her magic. I loved her bravery and determination to face the evil in Sherwood. Robin Hood (Ronan) is perceptive, brave, and determined. I loved how he used his curse/gift and I enjoyed seeing it grow with Mia’s magic. I loved how drawn to Mia he was and how he tried to keep her safe. I loved the relationship between Mia and Ronan, they faced some dark times. I enjoyed their honest conversations and how they grew stronger together. I loved seeing Ronan and his men together and the glimpses of their camp life. I enjoyed how they all work together, drawing on each other’s strengths while fighting. I am definitely hopeful there will be another book because I need to know what happens next with Mia, Ronan, and all of Sherwood.A few more quotes:“You care for her.” It wasn't a question, but Ronan answered anyway. “More than I should.” “Love rarely follows the path of 'should.'”“Mia.” He reached for her ungloved hand and held it tight. “I know you're scared. I'm scared too. But if we start thinking about failure now, we've already lost. So we don't think about it. We push forward. We do what needs to be done. And we win.”“No matter what,” he whispered, “our love is real. And nothing can change that.”Note: mild language - 6 uses of damn, 2 uses of hell, 1 use of bastardThis ARC was provided by the author. The Robin Hood Retelling I've Craved

This book really captured the feel of the Robin Hood story without being a direct copy. I loved the dual POV of both Maid Marian (Mia) and Robin Hood (Ronan). It helped add richness to the slow burn of the romance. The characters had depth, and I really felt for them. The story's magic was really cool as well. It made Robin Hood's bullseyes more believable and gave him a good reason to work with Maid Marian. I absolutely loved it. Excited for the next book!
