Rosemary Keogh prides herself on being adaptable. When her late father's final wish forced her to uproot her life and work at his newest resort—alongside five half-sisters she barely knew—she rose to the challenge. Slowly, she found her rhythm, even began to care for the family she never asked for.

But nothing prepares her for the day tragedy strikes, and she’s named guardian of her nine-year-old birth daughter—a spirited, stubborn child who mirrors Rosemary in all the best (and most exhausting) ways. Just as she begins to navigate motherhood, her life takes a darker turn: mysterious accidents start piling up, and it becomes clear someone wants her out of the picture.

Harrison Forest, the resort’s charming but infuriating head of HR, has always sparked something in Rosemary—even if their interactions have been more sparks and spats than flirtation. But when danger draws closer, he’s suddenly the one person she’s not sure she can push away.

As secrets unravel and danger circles, Rosemary must protect her daughter, trust her heart, and find out who’s behind the threats—before her second chance at family, love, and life is stolen from her for good.

Danger, trust and love

Rosemary is a strong character who has been blessed with great friends to help her along her path. Along with all the other DiCarlo sisters, danger seems to fall upon Rosemary and her daughter. I enjoy the bit of suspense, and totally love the learning to trust, to be a mom, to see beyond weight issues, and to fall in love.

another good one

Another great read in the dicarlo series. Although Sage's story is my favorite so far, it was interesting to get into rosemary and Harrison's story. My only complaint is that with each book in the series, I'm noticing more errors. In this one it was minor things such as leaving the s off of she so it read he, minor editing errors. Also, after describing Harrison's house a couple different times in the book, toward the end of the story it was referred to as an apartment. Nothing major, but enough to be slightly annoying and the reason for only four stars. As good as this series is, a professional editor, and not her husband, would be a good investment. Overall, I have loved the clean romance and intrigue of this series and would definitely recommend. I'm looking forward to reading the stories of the last two sisters.

Family Matters

Rosemary's secrets are going to come out as she finds out her closest friends, almost parents to her were killed in a bomb in DC. She finds out she was named Guardian of their 9 year old daughter. This book has more excitement, romance, family and love straight thru to the end. The family is there for Rosemary no matter what and she discovers Harrison is more than her advisory. I can't wait for next book.

Another winning book

I was glad to find this book did not disappoint. Good reading and another step in seeing if all the sisters wi d up working as a close knit team by the end. Love seeing their stories as well as seeing the overall family lines coming closer.

Okay

As the fourth book in the series I had high hope for it. I just didn’t feel like it held up to the other books. The relationship took a back seat for the majority of the story. He just seemed to be there. Then it ended and they were in love. I am glad for the happy ending but just felt forced. Oh well two more opportunities.
