Winning the lottery should have changed everything for Meena—in the best way. With financial freedom, plans to build a future with her five closest friends, and more time with her three-year-old son, life finally feels hopeful. But then the anonymous emails begin. In haiku. Devoted…obsessive…unnerving. Suddenly, being recognizable as a lotto winner makes every stranger feel like a threat.

Army Paratrooper Kaleb Muller never expected a quick trip into town to lead him straight to Meena, his best friend’s widow—and the woman he’s secretly loved for far too long. Determined to make sure she and Deven are safe, Kaleb steps in when he learns about the stalker who’s fixated on her.

What starts as protection quickly becomes something deeper. As the messages escalate and danger closes in, Kaleb and Meena must face their fears, trust each other, and fight for a future neither of them expected—but both desperately want.

One book and I’m hooked!

OK now I’m hooked on the series! I’ve got to read them all! All the sisters are so different and yet they have been through so much together and make a really nice modern family. I can’t wait to see all the stories and how things will improve for them.I love the story behind the title unshakable. So much positive and motivational thoughts in this book without being preachy. How could anyone not love Kaleb.Rating: PG, clean, deals with stalker issues and PTSD from war. Despite being trigger issues I felt like they are all presented from a hopefully outlook.

💗Applause, applause, applause....

No surprise to me.....I LOVED this first book of the series. I really like how although they each had heartbreak, and really bad things has happened to them... They banded together at the shelter to become sisters of the heart. I can't wait to hear the backstory for the rest of these fierce women. In this book they take their winnings and buy a building together. Living all together in one secured building while redoing what will eventually be their residential spaces, and work spaces. Thankfully they have the means to make it secure. Meena runs into her dead hubbys best friend Kaleb. Since the death of her soldier hubby, and everything that happened to her she lost touch with many people. Sadly Kaleb fell through the cracks. He's her sons godfather, and she'd always been drawn to him. Can she truly trust him though? Does he know about their windfall? Her running into him happened right at the time she started getting creepy Haiku emails and packages from a stalker. Her heart says he's safe, but her shelter sisters/sisters of her heart are a touch leery. Is it as it seems, or is danger closer than they thought? Enter this exciting world of these women who'd previously been knocked down, and took life by the horns and are living in THEIR terms! My superheroes! These awesome women love each other like family, and will do anything to protect their happy village. Stalker guy best believe they're not going to make this easy. I can't wait to slowly learn about each of these intelligent, big hearted, funny, and fierce women... Here's to the next book and peeling back the layers of this awesome family!! Three cheers for the SHELTER SISTERS!!!!

Great Read!

Meena thinks that she has it made when she wins the lotto with her five closest friends. They have big plans and she's thrilled with the chance to spend more time with her three-year-old son, Deven and create her one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces. But then the emails start coming. In Haiku. Her new pen pal is totally devoted, and totally freaking her out. She already gets recognized for winning the lotto, and this makes her even more paranoid about going out in public.Army Paratrooper Kaleb Muller is thrilled when he runs into Meena while he’s off his Army base running errands in Leavenworth. He tells himself he just wants to make sure his best friend’s widow is okay, but when he spends time with her and Deven, he realizes the feelings for her that he had been trying to ignore are still there. When he learns about the stalker, he’s determined to help. If he can get to her see him as more than a friend along the way, all the better.Loved Meena's & Kaleb's story! It was flawlessly written and heartfelt. Their story was so sweet! I loved how Kaleb was so good to Deven.

A Start to Another Great Series!

Like Ms. Tullis's DiCarlo Brides books, _Unshakable Love_ lays the foundation for a new series of stories about the lives of several different women who intersect due to a common trauma, and end up with their happily ever afters. This series has the women meeting in a women's shelter, and _Unshakable Love_ is specifically about how Meena, a military widow, gets her happily ever after with her late husband's best friend.Yes, this book is kind of like a Hallmark movie where you know that it will have a happy ending, but Ms. Tullis's stories are anything but formulaic in the challenges her characters face. I like to think of them as the equivalent of macaroni and cheese for the soul. :)I'm excited to see where the series heads next, so grab and fork and dig in to the series with me. :)

Great start to a new series!

Unshakable Love introduces us to the women who make up the Shelter Sisters & sets the stage for the books to follow. The women all ended up in a women’s shelter at the same time for various reasons. Some are hiding from abusive relationships & some, like Meena, had some bad luck & were homeless. They formed a bond & stuck together, even through winning the lottery.Kaleb was Meena’s husband’s best friend & was with him in the military when he was killed. Kaleb has been trying to find her & her son since he’s been stationed back in the US. As he saw her again for the first time in years, his attraction to her came back stronger than ever. When he met the other women, he questioned their need for strict security. Once he found about Meena’s stalker, he was happy it was in place.Strong, sassy women rising above their pasts have always been a great foundation for powerful stories. Ms. Tullis has not only introduced us to a fantastic group of women, she’s managed to make us sympathetic to their lives & circumstances. Kaleb is a strong alpha male feeling guilt over not being there for Meena after her husband was killed. Meena is just trying to take care of herself & her son & avoid her stalker. This story has the perfect balance of romance & suspense to keep you reading & second guessing your own conclusions. I really enjoyed the sense of family the women had for each other & the way they looked out for each other . I can’t wait for the next story!
