Liam

When my family moved across the country, I promised the only girl I’ve ever loved that I’d be back. To seal that promise and prove my love to her, I spent every last penny I earned on a promise ring.

But mere days later, the crushing blow of an email rocked my world—she’d decided not to wait for me, urging me to move on. When I returned to Palmer City later that year, I discovered she’d vanished into the foster care system after a tragic event at her home.

It’s been nine years, and I’ve never given up hope of finding her. I’ve never let go of the dream that we could have a future together. When my cousin asks me to return to Colorado to redesign our grandparents' old barn into a wedding venue, I jump at the chance.

And when I show up for the job, it’s her that my cousin hired to lead the construction. She’s moved back to town, and all of the feelings I’d long-since buried have resurfaced—along with the dream I’d never truly given up on.

Beck

Stunned. Shocked. Stupefied.

When I arrive at the barn to meet with the architect, the last thing I expect is to come face-to-face with the boy who promised to love me forever. The very same boy who had given me a promise ring, a long-lost symbol of his unwavering love and commitment. But even though I broke his heart, I could never quite let go of the love I had for him.

When our eyes lock, the buried feelings I had for him rush back. While hope and happiness fill his expression, my inner turmoil makes me want to bolt.

He doesn’t deserve the mess that is me or the destruction I leave in my wake. I need to keep my distance, because if we fall in love again—as grownups—I know the heartache will be unbearable. I can’t survive losing him again.

This is a sweet return-to-hometown he-falls-first workplace romance with heartwarming characters, found family, and even a matchmaking horse named Swiftie.

Second chance at love

I found the characters likeable and the story had a nice pace to it. The author does a nice job telling the story and keeping my attention. There is talk of physical abuse so beware otherwise a good second chance romance. I liked the fact that this can stand alone on its own and at the same time be a teaser to other stories.

Keep This In Mind..

What happens when family decides its time to fix what you lost but didn't realize was missing in your life? They meddle and sometimes it is exactly what they need to do.Keep Me In Mind is the story of Liam (her long ago Willy) and Beck (his long ago Becky) but its also the story of family, of lost and found love. Tragedy and Triumph. I highly recommend this book that starts the series.

Liam was a little taken aback ,it’s true. When he saw Becki’s house razed to the ground. What a to do. Brenna his cousin hadn’t mentioned it but then why would she as they are history…She left , and he was crushed ,bereft . She went into the foster system after a tragic event at her home…. It’s not been the norm , nine long years, but he has hope you see through his tears. Seeing her once more the girl he does adore and want to say she’s mine forevermore . It’s his childhood home he longs to see, he longs to re-live in the place you see. When his cousin Brenna asks him to redesign their grandparents’ old barn into a wedding venue. It’s a no brainer for him when he’s asked this. Show him a menu ..He goes to Brewski’s and catches up “We miss you all so much. The family still feels incomplete without you and your brothers here.” “I know the feeling.” “ “So, tell me your vision for this space.” Then Brenna’s phone rings “Hold that thought for just a sec.” “Yes, I’m here. Just come right in.” “Willy?” Yup it’s her Liam ( she calls him Willy) “ Beck, you remember my cousin Liam, right?” Yelp! “My dad will help. He’s visiting Mom today, but he’ll be here tomorrow.” Liam’s expression hardened with sorrow. “No. That guy almost killed your mom. Isn’t he in jail?” Bless him ,but he doesn’t know the history and that guy who went to jail? He is history. He wasn’t her dad ,that cad. … so here is where he finds out who is to lead the construction team . He feels he’s in a dream. A whirl . It’s her , his girl Becks. Just as stunned is Beck , when obviously she arrived at the barn planning to meet with Brenna and the architect . He’s the boy , who gave her his promise ring . Her feelings weren’t quite locked away and she’s feeling all of them anew today, staring agog at the man she begins to sway. But those feelings so swift to come into play have surely to be dug deep down. She can’t risk her heart. It wouldn’t survive being broken again for a start, it’d be wrong so she must be strong. Not go there again …. Liam of course has other ideas. He’s been hankering , yearning after her for years… And the ring? Makes a play even though she thought she’d thrown it ,like their love away…Kerry Evelyn , romance mistress extraordinaire, my heart does sing ,and you just had to go there . Play with our hearts like these two lovers. How you reach us , how you deliver. What an heavenly feast to devour in a few hour at most. So let’s all raise a toast . Well unless you’re me of course as I do read fast . Here’s to you Ms Evelyn a toast your finest hour lass. For doing your utmost with your writing style and always giving your readers a smile ,your storytelling is so compelling and some of the bestest romantic books ever. I’m from Yorkshire so I’ll say thanks chuck , one heck of a book ,you’re so darn clever.
