This was such a fun novella! Unique premise for an enemies to lovers tale and I WAS SO HERE FOR IT. I adored James and Judith. Martha packed in so much character growth in this short novel, and I enjoyed every minute of it, clearly, because I stayed up waaay past my bedtime to finish. James, the man trying to avoid matrimony to a woman he dislikes, finds himself washed ashore with no memory of his past. And who would find him but Judith, the woman he made a mockery of at a dinner party. I couldn't blame Judith for wanting a bit of revenge, but I also couldn't wait for her to fall for James and his charming self. Their interactions were fun and entertaining. I laughed so much during this fish scene! And then I cried during the confession/confrontation. All the emotion you could want in a short read.
