He needed a place to hide. She needed a suitable match. Neither expected to find love lurking in the shadows.

For six years, Alex Bellingham has pulled off the performance of a lifetime—posing as a pirate to infiltrate a dangerous crew. But when they uncover his ruse, he barely escapes Portsmouth with his skin intact, diving into the carriage of two unsuspecting ladies and praying his lies don’t catch up to him.

Abigail Marleigh is running out of time. After a fruitless Season and multiple house parties without a single offer, she knows this gathering is her last hope before her uncle forces her into an arranged marriage she dreads.

Alex arrives with no intention of doing anything but hiding. Abigail arrives determined to secure a match. The last thing either expects is sparks—especially when she's the only one at the house party recognizes Alex for who he truly is. And when his furious former crew tracks him down, Alex must decide whether to keep running…or finally fight for something worth staying for.

A very fun and worthwhile read

I highly recommend this book. It took off and never slowed down. The romance is sweet and meets every expectation, Alex is everything you want in a dashing pirate/earl, and Abi is both flawed and lovely in the best ways. Read this book. You will enjoy it.
