A firefighter running from his past.

A lawyer racing toward her future.

One unforgettable kiss that changes everything.

Damon Freestone never planned on returning to Park City—let alone stepping foot inside a fire station again. Six months after a devastating loss under his command, the former Boston firefighter knows one thing for sure: life doesn’t give you what you want…it takes it.

Samantha Worthington wants only one thing—to get back to her sister in Colorado. Fresh out of law school, she takes the one job she can find in snowy Park City, promising herself she won’t stay long. But when her cliff-diving adrenaline habit lands her in the arms of a stranger who insists he’s rescuing her, she does the only logical thing: kisses him…then slaps him.

Damon can’t shake the woman with the fire-bright eyes or the way she makes him feel alive for the first time in months. Dinner. Dancing. Zip-lining. Somewhere between all that danger and laughter, he realizes he’s not just falling—he’s free-falling.

But when a family emergency pulls Sam back to Colorado, Damon faces a choice he swore he’d never make again: chase after the woman who lit his world back up…

or let their chance at love go up in smoke.

Perfect for readers who love heart-pounding romance, brave heroes, and second chances that burn bright.

Editorial Reviews

I typically enjoy novels written by Taylor Hart, but "Rescue Me" was on another level and I loved every minute of it. I normally feel as if a novel has been rushed or is missing something from the overall story line; however, I never felt that way with this book. Each of the characters were well developed, as well as the plot behind each one of them. There was not a person in this story that didn't belong, and it was so refreshing to know each of their stories and how they went together.
