Are all the fantastic men in Getaway Bay??

Yes they are billionaires but more importantly they are down to earth, caring, considerate and love their partners to the moon and back. Jason's deep secret could be a last straw for Lexi. Can Lexi disregard a promise she made to herself at 14? Can Jason prove to her he's not the same man he was 20 years ago? Can they both look forward and no back? Great job. Thank you.

Patience needed for complexities

Lexie exasperated me several times (hence 4* not 5)but overall it was a lovely story. Jason was adorable and incredibly patient! This was a sweet, clean read. Karla B.

Wished I liked it more

The idea of the billionaire being a woman caught my eye and my interest right off the bat. Sorry to say it just didn't pull me in as much as I had hoped for. The emotions, angst and some danger was there as well as the pull of two people who loved each other. Yes, the odds were stacked against them and does take a while for them to overcome them.I almost got lost more than once with all of the secondary people, friends that Lexie makes. Sasha was pretty easy to distinguish because of her role as Lexie's boss on her part-time job at The Straw. The others I had a hard time remembering who went with who when it came to couples and how they fit in.There is a hard earned H.E.A. with no cliffhangers so that is a plus.

Lexie and Jason

Lexie has that sensation that someone is watching her but can't figure out who or why. She came to Hawaii five years ago and has recently taken a job making fruit smoothies and loves the job, even if she doesn't need it since she is a billionaire. After several days she sees him - Jason Burnes. She believes him to be the one who betrayed her seven years ago but who she can't seem to forget since they had been dating for over a year before he disappeared and things went south for her and the family business. She tries to keep him at arms length, but when trouble finds her, by the name of Victor, she knows she has to do something. So she hires Jason as her bodyguard! Then things start to unravel and he tells her who really leaked to the press about them and her brother Luke comes to the island along with Drake her other brother and the business lawyer to hopefully settle things with Victor. Bodyguard

This is another sweet quick summer read. I am thoroughly enjoying this series of romance in paradise. The characters are interesting and engaging. I love the pets in this series. Lexi, a billionaire works in drink shop to keep from being lonely and Jason has a dog. They knew each other before, can they make it work this time?
