Ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, but a decent read!

As with other books in this series, this book builds off the previous novel in the series, but can also stand own its own enough that a reader won't be lost if they start with this story. That being said, the twist at the end will be more meaningful if you've at least read book 1 of the series.I liked the small bits of humor sprinkled throughout this story. Sherry seemed a little clueless, and it wasn't helped by Kyle's lack of communication. The suspense angle was glaringly evident, even in the first chapters, so it really wasn't that suspenseful. What keeps me coming back to this series, despite my 3 star ratings of it, is the family. You can tell family is very important to the author and the story line, and checking in with the old characters increases the book's appeal for me. I'm eager to see where the twist takes us!

#3 started out like #2, a bit dull but as I got into it there were surprising twists and a chapter that brought me to tears. A must read.

Book 3 of a good series

Well developed characters that keep emerging in this series. Facing fears, human weakness and the uniqueness of us all, bring this story in directions you wouldn’t have thought of. Very enjoyable read. Onto the next one....
