Contract lawyer Meg Forrester has just had a parting of ways with her firm. Well, she quit, actually, but same thing. When her good friend Kate wins a trip to Nashville, all expenses paid, to see her favorite country music singer, Meg figures she might as well go along for the ride and shake off the cobwebs.

Quinn Dawson grew up poor but hit it big time with his first album. Now he's been around the block a few times and has several million tucked away, part of which he's using to care for his parents. Offering a trip to Nashville in a fundraising raffle seems like a great way to bring attention to the cause, and when he sees who won the prize, he feels like a winner too.

There's just one slight problem - Quinn's an alcoholic, and Meg has made herself a promise never to get involved with someone who drinks.

From the bestselling author of the Kansas Crossroads series comes the story of two broken people coming together and creating a whole.

I must admit, this particular story is not what I normally read; but, I was amazingly surprised! I absolutely loved the entire book. Meg's friend Kate, after being blind-sided with a divorce, convinced her soon-to-be ex-husband to buy her a thousand tickets at a charity auction to benefit dementia. The prize was an all expenses paid, week-long trip to Nashville to be spent with a popular country singer, Quinn Dawson. Meg and Kate are best friends but total opposites; however, they make a good team throughout the book. Kate is cute and bubbly while Meg, a lawyer, is quiet and more thoughtful, although she is beautiful. Meg and Quinn fall for each; but, they both fight their attraction. The life of a country singer is NOT an easy road. Yes, they often make millions; but, they have little to no privacy. How will Meg handle being in the spotlight, which she does not want? How does Quinn handle the media wanting to put his parents in the spotlight with his loving mother suffering from dementia? How does he handle Meg being thrown in the mixture? This book held my attention and I did not want to put it down. I am most definitely looking forward to the next book! Even though this is not my normal genre to read, I definitely recommend it for all ages. I am so glad I stepped out of my personal comfort zone to read something new and different. Readers NEED to find out what Whiskey and Women really mean!!
