This Christmas season creates an unexpected connection… Quilt shop owner Sophie Davis has always loved history and mysteries so when she finds a soldier’s journal in a box of donated books, she’s intrigued. Her father was a vet, so Sophie feels a deep connection to the young man and his deeply emotional entries. Wanting to return the journal, Sophie sets out to return the journal. Former Marine Cole Aaron battles to find his personal peace and purpose when he returns to civilian life. He enjoys his work as a fire fighter, but still can’t shake his memories of the battlefield. When an attractive, sunny young woman returns his journal, all he wants to do is trash it. But Sophie’s not that easy to avoid and soon they are both volunteering on several Christmas committees in their small Kentucky town. He doesn’t want to look back, but can he and Sophie look forward and find a future touched by joy?

Wrpapped up in Christmas Joy

Mostly I did like the book but I did get somewhat tired of Sophie being so everlasting happy. Seemed like she was always on top of things.

Great book with lots of surprises.

Loved this book. The story was well written and full of surprises. It was hard to put it down. I really enjoyed all the characters and the descriptions really brought them to life for me. The Christmas wedding was adorable with Henry. The surprise ending was really good.

Great Christmas read

Loved this story!I fiund the characters realistic, funny, with real flaws. The storyline flowed easily, keeping me wanting to read on.As the daughter of a Navy Veteran, I also appreciate the real portrayal of PTSD, and introducing Quilts of Valor

A sweet Christmas story featuring quilting and firefighters.

This is the second book I've read by Ms. Lynn. Her stories are very Hallmark-like with lots of snow and Christmas in them. This one is a little slow in parts, but I did end up liking it a lot more than her previous book (Wrapped Up in Christmas) which was also set in Pine Hill, Kentucky. Both books feature a group called Quilts of Valor who award homemade patriotic-themed quilts to military members. I really liked the quilting aspect of this story a lot. Quilting books are a lot of fun.

East and enjoyable reading.

Love this series. Lighthearted, forgiving, faithful. Even though the holidays are over, it make me see mine all over again.
