A cowboy billionaire who's rough around the edges, the woman he ghosted last Christmas, and their second chance at happily-ever-after.

Ames Hammond loves rules and organization, and his job as a cop gives him the structure he craves. But he quit that job months ago, and he has no idea what he should be doing with his life. He tries taking a job in Three Rivers, Texas, but when he accidentally nails his thumb to the wall, he's got no one to help him.

While in the drugstore, he runs into someone he least expected to--Sophia Cooke, the woman he spent time with last fall...and didn't call back over the holidays.

Sophia is as shocked to see Ames in Three Rivers as he is to see her. She's in town getting ready to help Marcy and Wyatt Walker with the move to Coral Canyon, as she'll be nannying for them that summer. She's hurt he's in Texas when the reason they broke up last year was because he refused to leave Colorado.

Their past is fraught with bumps and potholes...do they have any chance of building a future together that will hold?

Can she tame the bad boy into admitting he belongs in Coral Canyon with her? Or will Ames lose his chance at a forever love because of his dreams and indecision?

Drop the reference to halloween

I loved this series. I also loved the way the Walkers (who were my absolute favourite) were intermingled. so sad it has come to the end. I love the way the author brings the gospel into her books and how prayer and faith turns things around. What I really don't like and cannot understand why Halloween is mentioned in a lot of the Author's books and in this one reference to the characters dressing up as witches. It is disappointing and sends out conflicting messages. Halloween for Christians should not be tolerated and should not have a place in a Christian Novel.

fantastic read

I have read all of the books and I haven’t been able to put them down. I’ve felt very emotional in every book so keep a box of tissues at the ready.

Really cute stories with real people

This whole set of stories about the Hammond brothers was a pleasure to read—real people with real problems, trying to do life with God‘s leading. I am looking forward to going back to the other stories about the owners of Whiskey Mountain Lodge as my next adventure into Wyoming!

brilliant!

I’ve now read all the books in this series. Ames is a complicated man who doesn’t know how to share his heart. Such men are easily misunderstood. Sophia annoyed me on occasion but then I realised that anybody in a relationship would want to know where it’s going. Two hurting people makes for a difficult relationship and reading this book just made me to think that all of us need to do the work to heal before getting into relationships so that we don’t hurt each other. However I loved the way Ames and Sophia helped each other to heal from past hurts and how they both eventually decided to do the work needed for a thriving relationship. Highly recommended reading.

The Hammonds

I have read all the books in this series and have loved every one of them. So very glad to see all the brothers overcome their issues and find their happy endings. It was so good the see Ames and Sophie work everything out and get their happy ending with the dogs. I thoroughly enjoy all of Liz's books and can't wait for Hunter's story
