She's best friends with the single dad cowboy's brother and has watched two friends find love with the sexy new cowboys in town. When Gray Hammond comes to Whiskey Mountain Lodge with his son, will Elise finally get her own happily-ever-after with one of the Hammond brothers?

Elise Murphy tends to the grounds and animals at Whiskey Mountain Lodge—and she's just fine working with plants and animals who don't talk back. She's shy and petite, but is finding her place among the louder Whittaker family the longer she works for them. She's also incredibly lonely and tired of being on the sidelines. But she doesn't know how to break out of the mold she's lived in for so long, despite her best friend's urgings to do so.

If her best friend wasn't one of the Hammond brothers, who's so full of charm and confidence, Elise might think he actually understood.

Gray Hammond has visited Whiskey Mountain Lodge in the past, and with his parents off on a cruise for the holidays and his job at the family company wrapped up, he decides to take his son to the lodge for Christmas to visit his two older brothers who now live in Coral Canyon.

When he gets introduced to Colton's best friend, Gray can hardly remember who he is or where he came from. What he knows is Elise is gorgeous, and her shy spirit is exactly what his more analytical mind likes. He has no job to get back to, and plenty of reasons to keep all women out of his son's life.

His life too, he tells himself. But he can't help the gravitational pull to Elise, and as they get to know each other, he wonders if they could make a relationship—and a family—work.

Can Elise find true love with her best friend's brother? Or will Gray's fears and worries about his son keep them on neutral ground?

Great book

Another great book by Liz Isaacson. I really enjoyed reading about Elise and Gray and Hunter. They are characters that are easy to relate to and the story was enjoyable.

Whiskey mountain lodge

Oh wow another great book in this series, and another tear jerker too. Only two books left in this series and I will be sorry to come to the end of it.

lovely best friend’s brother story

Elise and Gray are a good couple. Well, with Hunter make that a good family.I was wondering what their temporary derailment would be, and very glad it didn’t take too long to sort out.

Fear Overcome

Another great story! In the story of Gray and Elise, fear is a very common theme. Elise fears going into an empty house, being alone in the dark and after Bree gets married she has to learn to deal with it. Gray's fear is due to last relationships and how he and his son had been hurt. Watching these two having to deal with fears in order to become a couple was both heartbreaking and heartwarming. This is a very good series!

A father and son finds a lady who loves them both.

Loved being back in Wyoming with the Hammond's and the Whittaker's . Gray and Elise story was sweet. They kind of got off to a rough start. But that all changed very quick. Everything went along great for awhile. Hunter Gray son fell in love with Elise she was good for him. Elise and Gray love for each other increased. They had a disagreement that was quickly resolved. Then came the proposal and the wedding. Elise was definitely the one Gray and Hunter needed. Gray was just what Elise needed because he was Coltan brother and a older version of Colt with his own great attributes. So happy that I finally got around to Gray story. Each Hammond brother finally got their lady. I enjoyed each Hammond brother story. Some how I didn't read them all in order. The Hammond boys were a great support system for each other. Just like the Whittaker boys were too. I've enjoyed being in Coral Canyon. You always felt you were part of the families there. Looking forward to reading more about the Hammond crew in Liz new series about them.
