Yet from the moment he meets her captivating sister, Violet, everything he thought he knew about duty, honor, and desire begins to unravel.

Violet Allen has spent years living beneath the shadow of scandal. Shunned by society, she expects nothing more than loneliness in her future—until a charming duke sees past the whispers and looks at her as if she is worthy of love. As their connection deepens, Violet and Tad are forced to choose between loyalty and longing, expectation and destiny.

Entertaining read

First, let me get the bad out of the way. I have to say it. There were a lot of typos and grammar mistakes. As if the writer decided half way through the sentence to restructure it but forgot to start at the beginning. 🤦🏻‍♀️ And shuttered instead of shuddered. But other than that this was a great story line. Excellent descriptions. A few cliches, but they worked. It was an intriguing read because it wasn’t a typical Regency Romance. And yet it was. I’d say the plot was predictable/typical. But with a good twist. The main characters were unique. I think that is what kept me engaged. The characters. I definitely want to see what comes next in the Baron’s Rose.In spite of the very obvious mistakes, overall the story and characters were charming. Great job.

An unusual and enjoyable story.

4 1/2 stars. The characters were interesting and rather unusual. Tad and Violet fell for each other from the beginning, despite the serious obstacles. It was entertaining to read about how they finally got their happy ending. There was plenty of passion and angst, but the story was strictly PG.

Clean romance

Rose, Violet and Tad find themselves in an unexpected situation when Tad becomes a Duke. The characters are well developed and the plot has plenty of drama and humor. There are characters that you like very much and others you just wait to have justice dealt to them. There is love and gentle kindness with a dose of forgiveness.Look forward to reading the next one in the series.

Fun story, but lots of typos

This was a fun story to read. My only complaint is that there were far too many errors in the text. It seemed as if no one really proofed it.
