He is infuriatingly charming. She is precisely proper. When they team up, nothing will work out as they scheme.

Miss Felicity attends the Havencrest house party for one reason: to win over her idea of the perfect gentleman, a man she has hoped for from a distance all season. With a substantial dowry but questionable family secrets, she hopes that within the intimacy of a smaller house party, she might at last secure his hand.

Lord Bolton is not that man. He shocks and unsettles her. He attends the party to wed the woman who will ease his financial burdens. With nothing left of the family fortune, Lord Bolton is left to fend for himself in the best way he knows how, by charming himself someone of fortune, one woman in particular.

Even though Felicity is not that someone, and Lord Bolton is too outlandish to be the perfect gentleman, they find in each other a surprising and useful ally. What will come of their plots and careful subterfuge?

Read this witty and fun Regency Romance for another charming dose of Jane Austen esque relationships.

Great read!

This was a precious, beautiful love story. Lord Bolton was such a sweetheart compared to the arrogant Lord Ridgecrest. I'm glad Felicity woke up and saw the light.

Very sweet & funny!

I thoroughly enjoyed this clean romance. It was silly, funny, & a quick, easy read. My only complaint is I wish it were longer. It has the ability to be stretched out longer & room for more details. However, I do recommend the book! I was drawn in instantly & read nearly all in one sitting!

Great story

So many romances now are 400 or more pages. Sometimes they are too long. This story was almost too short! This was a well written story of friendship turning into more. Loved it!

My Review

I always love a good "I came to catch someone else's attention but fell in love with you instead" trope! Lady Felicity and Lord Bolton make another interesting couple in this Regency House Party at Havencrest series. Happy reading, friends!

Abraham and Felicity Honora, not improper

I loved that Felicity struggled with knowing what was proper and improper, even though she clearly wished to act properly. She had to decide what was most important in life, as many people do. I loved that Abraham was flirty and funny, but absolutely honorable. I giggled at the stories Felicity told. She was certainly clever and her tales were funny and preposterous. Such a great fun couple. And I loved the name Miss Margaret Tittering! It fit her so well.
