A cowboy with a chip on his shoulder, a farrier who's got no roots, and their second chance at making a life together...

Unwilling to be tied down, farrier Robin Cook has managed to pack her entire life into a two-hundred-and-eighty square-foot house, and that includes her Yorkie. Now, if things get too hard, she can pack up and get out of town in under an hour, and that's just the life she thinks she wants.

No roots. No commitments. No relationships.

Cowboy and co-foreman at Grape Seed Ranch, Shane Royal, has had his heart set on Robin for three years, even though she flat-out turned him down the last time he asked her to dinner. But she's back at Grape Seed Ranch for five weeks as she works her horseshoeing magic, and he's still interested in her, despite a bitter life lesson that left a bad taste for marriage in his mouth.

Robin's attracted to him too. But can she put down roots in Grape Seed Falls and find room for Shane in her tiny house? And will he take a chance on her with his tired heart?

Good read

I've read most of the authors books now & am a little disappointed that the later series's have dismissed the community feel that was prevalent in the Three Riverr's Ranch series . By that I mean that when previous characters are now mentioned, she often doesn't give their children names like in 3 rivers .It reduces the continuity / family feel of the books & makes them more like stand alone novelsV.disappointing.This is the reason I've marked this book down for stars

I really LOVED this book!

I LOVED this story by one of my favorite authors! The beautiful descriptions of TX Hill Country (who'd have known I'd move here several years after reading about it?!?), the chemistry between Shane and Robin as they walk through their fears they've "buried" in their past for many years, and now looking to their future, the cowboy community that lend love and support. A clean romance, all with a HEA ending. Can't wait for the next book in the series! I heartily recommend this book!

People Change.

This book focuses on two people changing their way of life because of the love that fully developed after renewing their friendship. Time and personal analysis of what both Shane and Robin really wanted in the future helped them become a twosome. Great addition to the series.

Shane and Robin's story

This sweet story is about Robin, a farrier, who travels to different ranches to shoe and take care of their horses. She bought a tiny house to pull behind her truck so she has a mobile home to go with her wanting to not put down roots. Shane is the co-foreman at the ranch in Grape Seed Ranch. He has anger problems from his father leaving and then losing the ranch he thought he'd inherit. He had to take care of his mom and two brothers. Shane really likes Robin and had asked her out 3 years ago but she turned him down. He's avoided her since on her yearly visits to the ranch. This year, he's made her contact at the ranch. They decide to make the most of the 35 days they have together and fall in love. But will love be enough for Robin to want to put down roots? I really like these stories and can't wait for Shane's brother, Dylan's story.
