He's a wounded Army cowboy. She's a horse trainer with deadly aim. It could be true love, if he can shelve his pride and she doesn't run back home first.

Dwayne Carver is set to inherit his family's ranch in the heart of Texas Hill Country, which would be great if his first love wasn't raising and training horses. In order to keep up with his ranch duties and fulfill his dreams of owning a horse farm, he hires top trainer Felicity Lightburne.

Felicity, wracked with grief over the death of her father, can't stand to stay on her family farm anymore, so she takes the job at Grape Seed Ranch sight unseen. She shows up in her red mustang only to be confronted by three wild bulls who've broken free.

When Dwayne intervenes, she's smitten. It doesn't matter that he's her boss, or that she dunked him in the small-town Texas festival the day before, or that he has tremors in his right arm from a military injury. They get along great, and she can envision herself on this new farm--at least until her mother falls ill and she has to return to help her.

Then she realizes that the ranch wife life isn't one she particularly wants. And it's all Dwayne has to offer her. Can Dwayne and Felicity work through their differences to find their happily-ever-after?

Trusting

A very fun read as well as learning to wait on God and his still small voice. I appreciated the challenge to sit quietly to let God minister to you. Just like giving the horses time to adjust to your hand.

Review of Craving the Cowboy

This book was good. Very poor proof reading done though. Many mistakes found where wrong words were used, like he instead of she.

Together they make a good team & seem to complete each other but they ...

Second in the series - Maggie & Chase have grown up kids of their own in this one & their eldest son, Dwayne, has found a cowgirl of his own - Felicity. Felicity comes to town to start a new life for herself whilst she is still grieving. For a lot of the story she seems to be on an emotional rollercoaster & Dwayne has his own insecurities to battle with. Together they make a good team & seem to complete each other but they still have challenges that they need to face - they need to work at facing them together & keeping the lines of communication open by not giving in to their insecurities. This was a clean read with a feel good ending - it’s not the end though... I’m looking forward to the next book in the series which looks at his sister Heather who we get to know a little in this one. Perhaps we will have glimpses of Dwayne & Felicity along the way.

Whatever you do, don't listen to your sister.

Dwayne and Felicity have to both deal with loss and sadness in their lives. The real trick is, moving past that & taking on new challenges, forging new relationships & new friendships, while maintaining family responsibilities. This is a heartwarming story.

wonderful

I started reading Christian Romances with this Author. I love them, and I love the way she writes. I’ll continue to read more of her novels.
