I wasn’t supposed to fall for my fake boyfriend.

I failed at that.

Mom’s sick. Desperate to get some sunshine and relaxation, my parents packed up my brother and I and moved us to a small ranch in Montana. I’m not really interested in making friends. Not when my time with my mother might be cut short.

That is, until Blake shows up. He’s been best friends with my brother since they were kids and when I first meet him, I realize that the last thing his is, is a kid anymore. If he had a dating profile, it would write itself.

Blake Marshall. Six foot two. Ridiculously good looking.

And apparently, newly single. When Mom hears this, she concocts a plan. I should pretend to be Blake’s girlfriend to make his ex jealous and win her back. As much as I want to say no, I just want to make Mom happy, so I agree.

Until, feelings start to change and suddenly, the last thing I want to do is be Blake’s fake-anything.

I just hope he feels the same because I’ve come so close to losing Mom, I couldn’t handle another heartbreak.

Sweet and clean YA

Very cute. I love it when this author writes YA. To me, this is her strength and, once again, I really enjoyed her story. I am looking forward to reading #8 in the series when it comes out. I definitely recommend this one for a clean teen read.

It was good

It was serious issues so kinda on the sadder side, Susie kinda drive me nuts with the same argument going through her head. But I loved Blake!!

One of THE ABSOLUTE BEST! Chemistry was FIRE!

I loved this book so much. It was sweet with a ton of heat. I loved all the yearning, angsty moments between the MCs that created a lot of great tension. The chemistry was off-the-charts. There was a fantastic slow burn to sizzling kisses. This is one of my favorite YA romances ever. No sex or language. I love stories about genuinely good kids. There is definitely a sad tone, with child abuse and cancer (in the present, but no death). I usually don't enjoy books that are a bit more on the sad side, but the connection between the MCs was so crazy good that I'm so glad I read this. Wow! LOVED, LOVED, LOVED!! READ IT NOW! Did I say I love this book? I think you get the point:)

Frustrating!!!!

Agh, I wanted to shout while reading this story. It felt disconnected and so much time was spent on the heroine doubting herself and scared to say and act on how she felt…..even when it was clear the feelings were mutual. Very little of the story actually focused on the development and chemistry of the H&h. It’s as if the author had scenes in her head that she failed to add to the book.Reluctantly I finished reading the whole story bc I had spent too much time on it to not see it to the end. Everything came down to the last two pages just about. Frustrating!!!!!I will skip books from this author most likely. Not enough romance to cover for the angst and drawn out feelings……..or lack there of.
