A mistletoe kiss is just a simple kiss, right? Wrong.

All I want to do during this Christmas break is survive. A week at the cabin with our family’s friends/rivals, the Stephensons, every yuletide activity is turned into a competition where my family must win. Every. One. Yep. Lots of Christmas spirit around here. But, I've survived past holidays, there's no reason why I can't survive this one.

Until Mom informs me that Jacob Stephenson, my brother's ex-best friend and resident bad boy, is back from his grandmothers after having been gone for the semester. I guess, after you find out your son robbed a gas station, you banish him to the most southern state.

Now my ridiculous crush is back in full force and I’m trying really hard to stay away from him. My brother is frustrated that Jacob is home and I'm supposed to put my family above boys. Right?

I was attempting to be loyal until Jacob and I kiss. Sure, it was a forced one brought on by mistletoe tradition, but there was something in the way he held me and pressed his lips to mine that told me, he just might be feeling something more. But when he keeps pulling away and acting like the bad boy I'm pretty sure is fake, I begin to realize that there's more at stake here then just my heart. A truth that is eating away at him.

I just hope I can unearth it before Christmas is over and any chance that I have at discovering the real Jacob disappears.

Wonderful YA Christmas Romance!

This is another great read by Anne-Marie Meyer!Ava's family and the Stephenson's are spending Christmas together. They've always been a mix between best friends and rivals together and this holidays are no exception. May the best family win!But when Ava discover Jacob is coming after a 6 month vanishment with his grandmother, her long lost crush starts to spark again. But Jacob is also Ava's brother ex-best friend. Could things get more complicated?....And then an innocent traditional mistletoe kiss changes everything. Is he feeling the same fire too?This is a clean romantic story full of message and lessons to learn. I liked Ava's character, how she believes in Jacob and pushes him to get the truth out of him. And the way she stands up for him was admirable.A sweet and engaging read!I recommend it vividly to teens and adults the same!I received a gifted copy of this book and this is my voluntary and unbiased review.

Twas a good book

Romance during Christmas break? Secrets? Friendly competition? What a crazy time! 😂 It was a pretty good book but had its faults. The big secret was predictable so it wasn't much of a secret. Some of the attitude towards Jacob was uncalled for and bothered me. Overall, this was a pretty quick read and was easy to get through.

I liked this book it was short and got to the point it was really really really really really good

Cute, short, implausible

Very short and somewhat implausible story. The parents were more immature than the kids at times. Andrew was a totally unsympathetic character, who would probably have turned out to be a scammer if the truth had not come out. The real life consequences of the events seemed to be glossed over.I received a free review copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I love this author and the cute clean romantic books she has written! This book I totally recommend. I love this series and couldn't put it down!! Don't pass it up!
