Jackie Bartell has always loved Take5’s Jax, but the pop star has been missing for over a year.

When playing a gig with her ska band near the Santa Monica Pier, she spots Jax listening at the back of the room. Dropping her trumpet, she runs after him. As much as she tries to catch up, she can’t match his speed and soon he crosses the busy highway, begging her not to follow.

Several months later, Jackie walks into a local music shop to apply for a job and finds herself face-to-face with Jax once more. This time, she manages to keep her cool, and Jax doesn’t seem to recognize her with a new haircut and color.

With her passion for music and a kind heart, she nails the interview and her biggest dream comes true—getting to spend every day with her favorite pop star. She only wants his friendship, but Jax’s flirtations grow stronger as time passes, and Jackie can’t resist his charm.

Everything would be fairy-tale perfect, except for the lie she keeps of Jax’s identity. With their relationship growing stronger every day, Jackie must decide between being honest with him or having a boyfriend.

A what if I met my idol...

As a avid kpop/kdrama fan; these books are amazing. You cant help but have a smile on your face as you read them. This book in particular took 60mins to read... I am a very fast reader, and the whole time I am rooting for a miracle to happen between the main characters. Of course I'm not going to spoil it for everyone lol. It is upsetting though that Mrs. Jennie is no longer writing these K series anymore, but you wouldn't know that by the tone of this book. So thank you Mrs. Jennie for the awesome books, and to be able to be a part of your imagination. As always I'll be looking for more of your work in the future!

Disturbing look into the life of a rabid fan. Even more disturbing an adult wrote it

Beyond the issue that the story starts with almost no introduction to the main characters, locations or plot, it offers zero explanation of who "Jax" is until after the main character literally chases the poor man across a busy highway. This story reads like the mind of a rabid 14 year old, not like an adult woman who has clearly managed the intelligence to raise a family ( as mentioned in her bio). This reads like poor fanfiction that at best is mild escapism, if you can find your way through a shiftless and insubstantial plot, but at worst an affirmation for the harmful fan mentalities that celebrities often site as the worst part of their jobs and leads to the obsession and fans harassing their partners and friends. The main 16 year old character has no link with a man who wanted to escape Korea to start again and yet her inner monologue is bonkers and stalker-ish. I can't believe I wasted as much time as I did on this. Hard pass.

Fun, flirty fangirl read!!

What a fantastic finale to Jennie Bennett’s series of Kpop romance novels. It hits that sweet spot for the fangirl in all of us. A fun, flirty, fast read for when you need a touch of romance in your day.

Enjoyable romantic escape read

I thoroughly enjoyed this little romance novel. It had flawed characters that grow during the tale. A few times I had to shake my head at Jackie's antics, or at the conclusions she came to. But Jax was equally flawed. But it's each other that brings about the best in each other, and it makes you really root for them.If you like sweet young adult romances, I recommend this book. It will have you smiling and laughing all the way to the end.
