Fake dating has never felt so real.

Tara McDermott is desperate for a job, so when Hollywood’s notorious bad boy, Rick Shade, offers her work cleaning his mansion, she reluctantly accepts. But when he proposes an even crazier deal—to marry him and help fix his tarnished reputation—Tara’s hesitant. The payoff? Enough money to clear her debts and move her daughter back to the quiet life in the Midwest. The catch? Every time Rick kisses her for the cameras, her heart races, and suddenly this fake marriage feels all too real.

Rick's once-glamorous career is on the rocks, and to land his next big role, he needs Hollywood to believe he's a family man. Tara seems like the perfect solution: down-to-earth, beautiful, and everything his fans would love. He never expected her to get under his skin. Now, with each public kiss and staged romantic moment, he’s starting to wonder what’s real and what’s just part of the act.

Sweet and clean

This was an enjoyable quick read.I do feel though that the Hero's character should have been fleshed out more. He's called a 'playboy' but I didn't see any signs of it. it's also stated that he didn't like children but is then immediately shown as being a natural with them. (calling her kid is not enough) The point was obviously to add to the h concerns but showing him as top dad material from day didn't gell with what had been said of him before. You can't just say stuff it needs to be shown too.I don't think she would have been living in poverty after the divorce and if the ex is still allowed to see the child, where's the child support? That aside I enjoyed this book. it's refreshing to find something clean without swearing (that I noticed) with a satisfying ending.

No tension, main gal desperate for love/attention

I ultimately couldn't read further than the first few chapters. The writing is rough, and there is no tension pulling me forward. I can't deny the desperation surrounding the main gal. Does she exist just to be manipulated by men? Out of respect for women in general, I had to put this book down.

charmante, leichte Romanze - clean read
