Neither of them is looking for love this Christmas.

Their six-year-olds have other plans.

Rachel Meadows has her dream job, a new lease on life after beating cancer last year, and extensive plans to make this the most merry, bright, and wonderful time of the year for her six-year-old son since she missed so much of it last Christmas. But all her carefully crafted plans fly off faster than a reindeer-pulled sleigh when her coworkers challenge her to a bet—say yes to every holly jolly and not-so-holly jolly thing that comes her way. Except there’s one thing she never expected to say yes to—meeting Nick.

Nick Stewart just moved to the small town of Mountain Springs, Colorado, hoping for some stockings, snow, and faces all aglow—but mostly a fresh start for him and his six-year-old daughter after losing his wife the year before. His late wife didn’t want him to wait long before remarrying, but he loved her with all his heart and isn’t sure he’s ready to jingle all the way to the world of dating again.

When Rachel’s son begs for help with his school Christmas program and Nick’s daughter asks for the same, both parents say yes. Neither of the two little first-grade enemies ever guessed that their begging would lead to their parents meeting—or that their competitiveness would turn into cooperation for what has become Operation: Christmas Matchmaker. Six-year-old style, of course.

Grab a cup of hot chocolate, let it snow, and snuggle up by the fire to enjoy this heartwarming story that will keep you laughing all the way and leave you believing in the magic of Christmas.

Heart-warming Christmas romance

Getting past the grief of losing a wife, starting a relationship with kids who are both desperate for both a mum and dad, and the fear of them hurting, blending families - none of that is easy but worth all the pain and doubts. Clean, believable and enjoyable read.

Another heartwarming story from Mountain Springs!

Book 2 of Meg Easton's Mountain Springs Christmas series, A Christmas Bet, is as heartwarming as a Hallmark movie. This love story about two single parents navigating the obstacles of new romance and parental responsibilities at Christmas time is full of laughs , tears and quite a few sighs of joy. Characters from book one A Christmas Pact return in this novel, but this time the adorable Aiden is joined by his perfect nemesis Holly. These two children turn into adorable matchmakers and the antics that follow are more fun than "A barrel of monkeys"!I'm not sure how Men Easton does it but somehow using words alone she paints a clear and graphic picture of a small mountain town at Christmas. Reading this novel is like taking a virtual trip to Spring Mountain. As I read I once again became an active participant in the story. It was with much reluctance I returned to my reality. I was slightly disoriented as I looked around me, and began to focus on my own home at Christmas time.Get to know the residents of Mountain Springs and experience a delightful mountain Christmas Wonderland that will have you believing in the magic of Christmas again, with a child-like awe. The Christmas Bet is a 5 star trip to heaven without leaving the comfort of your home. And you can't beat the price! With a Kindle Unlimited subscription you can have this experience at no added cost!

A heartworming love story!

I could tell from the beginning I would like this one. The semi meet cute was funny and such a fun way to start. I knew this one would have some great character depth and it really delivered on that one. The grit of the single parent trope is done very well and I love how the author presented the MMC as a widow and the added layer of that depth.I loved all the fun Christmas shenanigans, it was such a great Christmas read! And the pacing of it all was well-written. Rachel and Nice are adorable together and I enjoyed seeing how they bonded over the kids. And their quick connection was fun to read. Rachel's character was so relatable me, I see a lot of myself in here because of the planning. I loved how Nick cracked into that rigid exterior and gave her some spontaneity. This was an emotional but lighthearted book all at the same time. I enjoyed Nick and Rachel's love story and Aiden and Holly were adorable as well. I love Meg Easton's books!

6 years old?

Why does a 6 year old sound like a 15 year old? Heck, even 15 year olds don't sound like that. Having a really hard time suspending belief that a child that young is spewing such complex and emotionally mature thoughts.
