The childhood crush I thought I’d never see again? He just became my next-door neighbor.

I moved across the country to start fresh—not to catch feelings for Ian Kendrick all over again. Especially not when we’re both recovering from breakups, and definitely not when he’s living ten feet away from my front door.

But Ian is charming and thoughtful and dangerously good with power tools. He helps his grandma with her groceries and builds things with his hands, for goodness’ sake. If I had a checklist for The Perfect Guy, he’d be it… which is exactly why I cannot fall for him.

So I make a list. A very sensible, very necessary list of how to not fall for the guy next door.

Because if I do, and this thing between us doesn’t work? I’ll lose more than just a rebound—I’ll lose my shot at a fresh start.

If you love witty heroines, swoony slow-burns, and cozy romantic comedies with heart, you’ll adore How to Not Fall for the Guy Next Door.

Funny and light read

Light, easy, funny read. I look forward to seeing what happens to the other characters in their books. Only criticism is the age as kids and time lapse variances...sometimes 13, sometimes 15 years.

Cute

Cute love story. Became invested with the two main characters and the way their relationship grew but thought Ian’s reason to break up before getting back together a bit weak.

Great read

What a great story of two people moving on, or trying not to, from previous failed relationships. Great characters and an engaging storyline. Looking forward to reading more of some of the support characters.

A sweet romance, overcoming fear, and moving forward

Addison has just moved across the country to take over her grandmother’s inn. She has changed jobs so that she now works for herself as an organizer for other people’s homes. It has been twelve years since she was last at the inn. And then she discovers that the guy next door, is the boy she had a crush on when she was twelve and he was fourteen. Ian Kendrick lives with his grandma in her home, and has a woodworking shop in the backyard – a place where he grew up spending time with his grandfather. Both Addison and Ian have recently come off breakups and are very leery about getting into rebound relationships. Lots of humor starting with Addison bumping into Ian in the grocery store and blueberries flying all over him and the floor around him.
