Second Chances at Christmas

I really loved this story of second chances for Sophie and Killian--their vibe was fun and exciting and when they work together to fight "city hall," it works! The whole artisan space fascinated me and Jayne brings us right into the action with gorgeous descriptions of Bear Creek and the restoration ideas for the old historic mill. Christmas cheer and spirit abounds in this lovely romance!

Two years have passed since Sophia’s fiance died and she is on a course to rebuild her life. All she wants to do is move forward without the meddling of her family. She has big plans for her small town to reinvent a vacant mill. Killian returns home to help his friend and to do a one year stint as city planner. Sophia and Killian always have had something between them. Their teaming up to renovate the mill challenges their feelings in this absolutely wonderful story.I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. A beautifully written Christmas reunion romance

This book has everything I was looking for in a holiday romance. It was full of hopes and dreams, and Christmas magic.Killian Flanagan and Sophia Gonzales grew up together. They both had crushes on each other, but they never confessed their true feelings. Years later, Killian is back in Bear Creek and he finds himself working along with Sophia planning a new artisan market in town. As Killian and Sophia work together, their feelings for each other grow stronger. But before anything can happen, Killian must confess a secret. This secret could ruin all the progress they just made. This book is a great addition the Bear Creek series. I just couldn’t get enough of it. Sometimes a book is so good, you just don’t want it to end. I also enjoyed catching up with characters from the previous book.

Second Chance Romance

The Christmas Blueprint (Bear Creek Book 2) by Sinclair Jayne s a second chance romance that speaks to the heart of anyone who has ever suffered a loss. Sophia Gonzales is now ready to help herself move on from her personal one. Killian Flanagan may not be her first choice to partner with in a town renovation project but he is most certainly the right one.As always in a Sinclair Jayne book there is some angst, some drama in this case meddling family and plenty of soul searching. The characters can stand up to each other, admit when they are in the wrong and try their best to avoid falling in love. Sometimes falling is the best thing.A lovely Christmas story on moving on, enjoying life again and making a difference. Finding love is the added bonus. May all projects end this way for the characters. Recommend to all romance readers. An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Christmas Blueprint

I received this arc of the Christmas Blueprint in exchange for my honest review. This is the second book in Sinclair Jayne’s wonderful series, Bear Creek. This book is Sophia Gonzales’ story. We learned that her fiancé had served in the military and had returned home to Bear Creek and then was killed while fighting fires. He has been gone two years but her family and his family has tried to keep her in a cocoon and she’s ready to try new things. She owns her own boutique where she sells others handcrafted items. As the book opens, Sophia has just fought her way onto the city planning commission where she hopes to fight for things she feels are important for her town. It is apparent that the mayor is a roadblock to things she hopes to accomplish. He also makes threats about her business if things don’t go his way.One of her late fiancé’s two best friends, Killian Flanagan, has just moved back and has taken a part time position working as the city planner. The third best friend asked him to move back and take care of his daughter that he just found out about. The dad is in the military and has one final mission before he is out for good. Sophia and Killian are surprised to see each other as he left town years earlier, vowing not to return. Sophia shares her vision for the abandoned building that Killian was hired to work on. His sister’s boyfriend purchased the building with plans to develop it and give back to the town. Unfortunately the mayor has an agenda he want to follow that will benefit only him.Sophia and Killian start spending time together to view the building and discuss her ideas and what she hopes to have happen. Both secretly have crushed on the other. Killian stepped back years earlier after her late fiancé told him he planned to ask her out and then later propose. He is still hesitant to pursue her because of her ex and his family and her family. He also said that he would only stay in Bear Creek for a year, until his buddy is back from his mission. She knows he is leaving and is therefore afraid to act on her feelings. Both Sophia and Killian are so genuine and likable, as are most of the characters except the mayor. I enjoyed the angst and feelings the couple had. This, like the previous book was so entertaining and enjoyable to read. I recommend it highly and give it 5 stars.
