The Unreal World is calling...

As newly converted members of the Coalition, Channel and Aave infiltrate their prior home in an attempt to access Cerebrolink’s secrets.

After struggling to survive in the Real world, Channel once again finds herself in Paradise 3, where absolutely anything goes.

She knows her mission. But the Unreal World was designed to make people forget.

Following Channel’s unexpected departure, Mila and her friends join their Coalition escorts to complete the final leg of their journey to the Reals.

With inside contacts and undeniable proof that the Real world is healing, Mila has never felt more idealistic about their future.

That is...until unfamiliar faces emerge from a P7 rescue transport. Until everyone she loves is restrained and tossed into a holding cell in a vehicle heading anywhere but home.

As the Community’s vice tightens, the pull of a virtual utopia is stronger than ever.

Will Mila and Channel find a way to break free and save the people they love—and themselves—before they’re unknowingly trapped in Paradise forever?

Technology altering lives!

Short SynopsisUnreal is the second book in the Unreal series. A group of young people, members of the Coalition, strike out to save those they love who are living an unreal life. The real world is recovering, so there is no need to live life through technology induced perfection. That perfection comes with a price. Will the coalition be able to accomplish its goals? How hard is it to leave a perfect world? My ThoughtsI enjoyed the gumption shown by these young adults. Courage and love stand out throughout the story, maybe even a little heartbreak. Tough choices are made and things don’t always go as planned.I really enjoy the technology aspect of Unknown. Technology altering lives in such a major way is interesting but scary. Unknown opens your world to both.

AR?! Yes please!

You know what's cool? Augmented Reality. The possibilities are endless! At least, I thought it was cool--until crafty authors started telling stories about all the ways governments and corporations might use AR to passively exploit us into happily giving up our reality for their version of reality. Now I'm a little freaked out.In the Unreal series, Cindy Gunderson puts a really clever (and uncomfortable) spin on future applications of AR. This is a dystopian future, where the world has been ravaged by calamity and only pockets of humanity survive. The landscape is desolate, and resources are scarce. Instead of investing precious resources into things--variety in clothing, for example--these folks in our future use AR instead. It conserves resources and maximizes societal efficiency by allowing resources to be allocated to critical needs, while letting us customize the way we visually engage with our environment. How we look, how we learn, and how we interact with everything around us is fully customizable according to our every whim!Sounds dreamy, right?Right...Book 1, Unreal, cleverly took this-could-really-happen science and incorporated it into a super engaging dystopian adventure. All the stuff we love about the genre is there: coming of age, love interests, revolutionaries, learning new perspectives...it's all there, and more.Book 2, Unknown, picks up right where book 1 left off. As the truth becomes known, the stakes get higher, the relationships get stronger, and the drama gets intense! I was glad to see the character growth, and I loved the sneaky twist...turns out, our heroes are up against some really bad bad guys. Unknown was an excellent second installment, and I'm looking forward to book 3!I especially appreciated the steam-free content. No language, sex, or violence sensitive readers need to be concerned with. If you're looking for a fun dystopian future with a cool ScyFy twist, I bet you'll enjoy the Unreal series!Best for 12 and upHappy Reading!

Awesome

This book is perfect for fans of dystopian fiction. In a world of augmented reality can anyone really know the truth? Who can you trust when nothing is as it seems? Channel’s friends and the Coalition are about to find out in this fast paced, can’t put it down book. I can’t wait to continue the story in book 3.
