The tradition of a mistletoe kiss shouldn’t have made a difference in their lives... but it did.

I feel drawn to the hot single dad who lives at the top of my building. But his world and mine don’t mix. I’m a middle-class art teacher with little contact with my family. He’s from a close-knit family of billionaires…and a sweet dad to his little girl.

When Rhett has a babysitting issue, I offer to help, but only to watch Holly. I know nothing can ever happen between us. We've both been burned before, and neither wants to risk our hearts again. But when we attend his family's Christmas party, we accidentally end up under the mistletoe, and his family, friends, and business associates all form an impenetrable wall between us, cheering us on to honor the tradition. Rhett chooses to kiss me for tradition's sake, and instead of a kiss that feels like nothing, it fills me with warmth and the wish for more than friendship. A kiss I won’t ever forget. I’ll try to return to thinking of him as only a friend, but after such a moment, I don’t know how. He's acting strange now and won't look me in the eye. What if that simple mistletoe kiss ruined everything: our friendship, my relationship with his cute little daughter, and my hope that I wouldn't have to spend Christmas alone?

Fluff romance

3.5 starsThis is a sweet little Christmas story that fleshed out a little more could be the basis of a Hallmark movie. It is fluffy, feel good, romance. It is predictable but enjoyable if you are in the mood for a quick fluff read.It could have used some extra editing to catch things like a period in the middle of a sentence and so forth. That kind of stuff was a bit distracting, especially when I had to reread to figure out why it didn't make sense. But if you ignore that, it is a nice couple hours of escapism. No sex, language or violence

What a cute story!

Well done characters, both hurting, come together for the sake of convenience—he needs a babysitter and she doesn't want to be alone at Christmas time.Predictably, they fall in love, but what a weird and wonderful voyage they take us on to get there!
