But what if a fake forbidden romance is the only way?

I just found out my running partner is my worst enemy’s daughter. Now I don’t know what to do. What to think. If Coach Tenner finds out I’ve been running with his daughter every morning, a woman who, up to now, I only thought of as my athletic neighbor, I’m worse than dead meat. I was ready to walk away and never see her again, but we got stuck in a snow-covered cabin for the night, and now I find out that not only is she the old cranky coach’s daughter, but she’s having issues with unwanted attention from a guy at work. Not one to turn my nose up at a damsel in distress, I want to help her. That's when an unconventional idea sparks. What if we faked a romantic relationship to deter her boss's unwanted attention? We’d keep it as low-key as possible so her father didn’t find out even though we worked together at Alvin High School. Despite the potential consequences, we decide to give the fake relationship a try. I can only hope that the guy pursuing her will back off after he sees she’s not available before her family finds out about us. With boundaries firmly set, I know that she’s off limits, but my heart isn’t receiving the memo.

A heartwarming new entry in a sweet series

The Teachers of Alvin High has been a sweet series and this book is my favorite one of the series. Patrick is an interesting character in a tough situation in his work life. His good manners and desire to help others, especially Lily, are very endearing. I recommend this heart-warming book and the entire series.

When the old coach hates the new one

Coach Tenner hated Patrick because he thought he was being shut out. Patrick tried to stay away from him, but the principal said they had to work together. That was bad. When Patrick found out that Lily was Tenner's daughter, things got worse. They hid it well, but when they finally found out that Patrick and Lily were together... It is a really good story, and one I hope you read!

Fun mix of tropes

The whole star-crossed lovers mixed with fake relationship was FUN. I am always happy to return to Alvin High, and I have been rooting for Patrick for a while. Lily is a great match for him. I definitely recommend this one!

Another Charming Love Story by Cassandra Shiels

I’ve read four of the Teachers of Alvin High series books, and they’re all terrific reads. Ms. Shiels knows how to craft a sweet romance that leaves her readers feeling warm and fuzzy. I’m a big fan and look forward to everything she writes. Read this book!
