He's found the woman he wants to marry—it's a shame she is already engaged to someone else.

Mary Hatcher traveled to London to procure a trousseau for her upcoming marriage. When she attends the Frost Fair and meets a different man that ignites her interest, she tamps down the unwelcome feelings. But when her host’s son arrives at dinner and she learns he is the man she met at the Frost Fair, she has a new challenge: she must spend the Christmas Season in the same house as him without falling in love.

Andrew Bright, the Earl of Sanders can never live up to his father’s legacy, so why bother trying? When he runs into a charming woman at the Frost Fair and later learns she is his mother’s guest, he is overjoyed. At least, until he learns of her engagement. But friendship with her is better than nothing, until she threatens to push him into doing what he has long avoided—stepping into his father’s shoes.

Delightful

A sweet romance, with lovely characters. It is full of kindness, compassion, and love in its many forms. Where is lovely, and I think Andrew is the more interesting character as he wrestles with stepping into his fathers shoes. The novel is well written and well edited; A pleasure in those days of Indie authors. Not that I don’t love Indie authors, but too many don’t have the resources to have the books properly edited.

Just Lovely

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel.Mary Hatcher is betrothed to a wealthy merchant, but with a month to go before her wedding, she meets the handsome Earl of Sanders, Andrew Bright. Their connection and attraction is strong, but her marriage contract stands between them pursuing any romantic attachment. Will they have to give up on their chance at true love?A lovely, sweet and clean regency romance, suitable for young adult readers and up.

Enjoyable

A sweet star crossed lovers story with very little passion. Stockton professes to write clean romances, and this chaste tale lives up to that description. I found the plot slow in spots and did some page skipping.

An Absolutely Charming Story.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Mary and Andrews’s story, they were both such lovable, amusing characters, as were Andrew’s sisters Lady Anne and Lady Caroline. There was something so inherently sweet natured about this charming book that made me smile whilst I was reading it. The story had a perfect pace, wonderful unexpected humour, an altruistic message and a cosy Christmas theme. The villain was just dislikable enough to make you wish to cheer on our MC’s. If you are looking for a clean, sweet read that will warm your heart then I highly recommend this and all the Belles of Christmas: Frost Fair books.
