Freshly out of mourning, Jane Palmer’s final act of love for her father will be to fulfill the marriage contract he signed before his death and become engaged to Lord Hammel. With her family’s annual house party on the horizon, her course is set. The only complication: the man she has secretly loved her whole life, Ewan Lennox, will also be in attendance.

Ewan’s never shown any indication he reciprocates Jane’s feelings—until this visit. When Ewan declares his intention to fight for her hand in marriage, it seems she has no choice but to keep him at arms length in order to fulfill her father’s dying wishes. As Jane’s resolve crumbles, she must determine if following her heart is worth the risk of losing her home, her fortune, and everything her family holds dear.

**Prequel to the Bradwell Brothers series, Properly Kissed is an unrequited love, childhood friends-to-lovers clean Regency romance.

Another wonderful tale to warm my heart

I loved the way this story kept me guessing about how things would resolve. The family dynamics were lovely and the characters were well formed. I adore Kasey's stories! Can't wait to read another!

Quick, Cute, and Passionate

This story was a lot of fun! I liked Jane and Ewan a lot, both individually and together. Their connection was playful, loving, and passionate. Jane was a decent mix of fun and dutiful, emotional and logical. Ewan was teasing, passionate, and devoted. I'd like to see more of these characters, and even more of the homes they loved. The novella had a fairly quick pace, but didn't feel rushed. I liked that the characters tried to make the best situation for everyone instead of just themselves.

A good kiss!

This is a sweet historical romance of a young woman ment for an Earl, but in love with her Scottish hero. The story recipes around the family and the changes they go through for love and marriage. This was a lovely, but different tale. A great read.
