Opposite worlds. Two hearts. Can they ever meld together as one?

Eliza Rose is the perfect lady—accomplished in pianoforte, riding, and multiple languages—until a scandal disrupts her privileged world. The fallen Rose family has struggled to regain their standing until a fortuitous connection helps Eliza re-secure her family’s place in Society, giving her everything she believed she wanted.

Eliza’s return comes at a bittersweet price, however, as she unexpectedly loses her heart to the town blacksmith. She yearns to follow her heart, but fears condemnation. Her mother would give anything to remain among her friends—and Eliza cannot be the reason her family falls from grace once again.

Jacob Ridley is a humble blacksmith, haunted by a past betrayal from a lady he thought he loved. He has come to Harewood to begin anew, with a rule to guide and protect himself—he will avoid women of quality. But Eliza is impossible to ignore, forever needing his help. He might not be a gentleman by Society’s standards, but he cannot refuse her when she is in need.

As their feelings mount, they must confront an impossible choice—remain loyal but lonely in their disparate spheres, or bravely come together despite the formidable barriers, threat of scandalous gossip, and pain of family objection. These two unlikely hearts are torn between love and obligation. Will the right choice come at too dear a price?

Book one in the Hearts of Harewood series, To Forge Her Fate is a sweet and clean Regency romance of unequal social status and forbidden love.

nice 😊

A quickly read story that delights the heart quite completely. An entertaining premise that changes peoples views, which I’m sure is based on fiction, as it’s hardly heard of even today, but it was nicely done with a hea.

Fantastically swoony

Eliza Rose has finally put a toe in the ton’s good graces again. And then an accident with her maid and rescue by the blacksmith throws her carfully laid plans out the window. This author is such a versatile author and I was knee deep immersed in this regency story. The whole difference in classes, but I’m a boss girl gave me a bit of fairy tale vibes and I was there for all the low key tension. I adored all of the supporting characters that I hope to read more about soon. Except her mom. What is it with regency mamas? It’s like Mrs. Bennett spread her crankiness liberally. Adored the goodness of Jacob and how decisions were made with consideration and communication. And since it’s the start of a series I’m looking forward to more happily ever afters.the handkerchiefstwisty family dramawonderful supporting charactersdetermined FMregency slow burn swoonJacob Ridley has been burned before and wants to keep his heart out of the fire. When Rose starts to melt his heart can he put aside his growing desire? Highly recommend!

Swoony Clean Regency Romance--New Favorite!

“You make it difficult, Eliza.”“Difficult to do what, exactly?”“To keep my distance from you,” he said, his voice low. “I want to . . . but I can’t."To Forge her Fate by Kasey StocktonOh my goodness, this story was so cute! I loved Mr. Ridley's character and what his profession is. You don't get that profession in books at all, so thank you, Kasey! It was such a fun change of pace in a Regency Romance. We need more books with blacksmiths as the main character. And I love how the title fits into that as well!I have so many favorite parts, from their disastrous meet cute, the handkerchiefs, the bonnet, the necklace, Mr. Ridley as a character, all of the side characters, Eliza's persistence, Mr. Ridley's interactions with Peter, and the plot twist reveals at the end! I loved it so much.I love that Eliza doesn't care for the rules of society! She is loving, accepting, kind, and just cares about the people around her.The lesson I learned from this story is that it is better to be cautious than to speed and be reckless. Bad things can happen when you are reckless! But good things can happen too, otherwise Eliza would not have met a certain someone!I definitely recommend this sweet story and plan to start book 2 next. Go grab your copy and enjoy today!
