**WARNING: This is the final book in The Anchored Series. DO not read this blurb if you haven't already read Anchored, Adrift, and Awoken. SPOILERS.

When nightmares walk the Earth. . .

Alora dismantled Terra, just as the Followers of Isis feared she would, freeing its occupants and restoring the magic (and denizens) of the past. Ra is alive and eager to reunite with his family. Alora desperately hopes he will heal Jesse, once and for all.

But not everyone is pleased, and not everything is as it ought to be...

Ra may be powerful and skilled, but he’s also amassed quite a few enemies over the years. As those opposed to his methods assemble against Alora, she must puzzle out the mysteries of her ancient past to solve problems that were never resolved. Can Alora save those she loves without losing herself in the process? Will the world survive the clash of power that was put on hold for millennia?

Climb into your pajamas and find a comfy chair. You’re not going to be able to put this down until the last page.

Thrilling, stunning conclusion to the series

Alora has come a long ways since finding out she wasn’t just a foster kid but actually the most powerful person in the world…and that the fate of the world rested in her hands. But there’s still just one thing that matters to her above all else—her brother Jesse. She needs to figure out how to stop Isis, whether to trust Ra, and if Kahn plays a role in her future, but first she has to make sure Jesse will be okay or nothing else matters. Meanwhile, she’s sifting through the memories of her Egyptian past that are slowly resurfacing, trying to find clues about who to trust and how to fix the mess the world is in. She’s already given so much. Can she find the strength to fight for people she doesn’t even know when she’s at her breaking point? And with conflicting messages from the past, can anyone help her or is she on her own to save the world?

This series has been incredible, and the finale does not disappoint. It’s full of shocking twists, answers to mysteries, and breathtaking, richly described ancient Egypt scenes. The character development is incredible. . .not only do the main characters have depth and just feel “real,” but even the villains are understandable in their choices. There’s just the right amount of humor to balance the tension, so prepare for weird looks as you alternately gasp and laugh. And have a tissue handy, because it’s both heart-wrenching and heart-filling.

Magnificent conclusion to the series!

I was eagerly awaiting the conclusion to this series, and I was not disappointed. This one made me feel ALLLL the feels. I loved the extra Egyptian mythology/history Baker threw in. You could tell she really researched things and it played like a movie through my imagination. (Seriously, I woke up the next afternoon- had to stay up all night reading it- and was ruminating on the movie I had just seen, then realized nope, it was a book. I LOVE books like that!!). Some of the characters got fleshed out a little more and made me like and/or dislike them even more. Isis, for real! What is your problem!?!? She’s awful. Ra is one complex character and took some time to sort out whose side he really was on. I cried a few times, and really ugly sobbed over Jesse. You’ll know when you get there, just keep a few tissues on standby.

I was satisfied with the ending. I could have happily had another book in this series, but I was able to sigh and turn the last page and put it down feeling complete. I almost envy those who have yet to read this series, as they can get the whole story, start to finish. You will not regret the time you spend delving into Terra, Erra, Rra, A, Earth, Egypt, any of it! I may have already ready Capsized twice. It was so full of twists and turns the first go-round that I got even more out of it on the reread.

This book is Abso- Freaking Amazing!!

All I can say is Bridget Baker did it again and wrote another amazing, beautifully written story that pulls at all the emotions and sets you on a roller coaster ride you never want to get off of. This last book in the Anchored series was wonderful! I couldn’t put it down, and when I did I thought about the characters and wondered what would happen next. I found myself pulled completely into the story! I loved everything about this book and how well it was written. How the Book weaves itself through complex story lines and pulled them all together at the end to wrap everything together in the end. It’s beautifully written with intricate details and amazing world building , fascinating details of Egyptian history and mythology which is pulled to life in our current world. I love how the characters develop and grow and you come to love really love some and completely despise others. It’s a theme of love all through and belief in oneself and holding onto what’s dear and precious and full of growth and dynamic abilities to do fantastic things. It grabs you from the beginning of the first book and holds onto you until
The end of the last book and leaves you wanting this story to keep going because you fall so in love with the characters. You are going to absolutely love this book! And plan for some late and sleepless nights because once you pick it up and start reading it, I promise you’re not going to want to put it down until you’ve read the very last word on the very last page, and then you’re still not going to want to put it down! Bridget Baker is a master at story telling! She is one of my all time favorite authors ever!

Sags a bit at the end

So here we have the conclusion of the series and for the most part it goes very well, until the climax. Then it descends into some religious mumbo jumbo that makes no sense and has very little to do with the book. It all then becomes fairly simple, hardly dramatic. The epilogue is weak and somewhat tedious as well.

Overall, this was a great series, but there is a little bit of a letdown at the end. It is still well worth a read.

Wonderfeul series ender

Oh my goodness! This entire series was so amazing to read! I so hate to say bye to wonderful characters and worlds. A series like this one, however, needed an ending. Things left "loose" were nicely tied with bows. It couldn't go on forever and still make for a wonderful series. Maybe a spin-off series on one of the other side characters?
