A Christmas Carol with a splash of romance

The world’s most wonderful time of year can rot as far as Caralyn Benzer is concerned. Life has taken her down some dark paths since her mother’s death seven years ago, and all she wants is for her to feel normal again.

The great old retelling of Scrooge.

The retelling of the old classic from Charles Dickens, Scrooge. Caralyn has always been about work and throwing herself into it after her mother died. With her best friend working with her, Bobby, who what's to be more and her dad on the edge of being married again. She feels alone and is not sure how to carry on. She gets visited by her mom and ghost Bobby who does the past, present and future trips with her. You gotta love Bobby, he so wanted to be with Caralyn but it was like she thwarted him at every turn. It doesn't turn out to good when his ex turns up expecting to be back with him. This was a great story and it was good that she got a visit from someone she knew but I think not made it harder for her.

Realistic twist on A Christmas Carol

4 1/2-5 stars. At times it was s but too realistic and I could picture myself a Caralyn a little at times and see what led her to her choices. I also loved the way the plot twist flowed with the story only making it better. After all every relationship has its bumps in the road. While some make you grown with frustration this one just had me worried about if her newly found path to include people in her life would crumble. Love, love loved this sweet, clean romance about realizing your feelings and taking a leap of faith so you don't miss out on the best thing that could happen to you.

It's a heartwarming story

Jenny Rabe did a fantastic job with this retelling of A Christmas Carol.I have never really been one who reads romance, but when I saw this book, I instantly began to read it.There were many times when I wanted to scream at the MC and ask her what the heck she was waiting for! But I also deeply connected with the loss that she had felt with her mother's passing.It is a beautiful story and 100% will recommend it to everyone.

Not your mothers Christmas Carol!

Jenny Rabe has written a wonderful, contemporary retelling of A Christmas Carol. This isn’t your typical follow the same Dickens format which is a refreshing take on this story. I highly recommend adding this book to you mr Christmas reading list!

Absolutely Delightful! Heart-breaking. Great Twist!

Romance typically isn't my genre (other than Jane Austen, whom I adore), but I thoroughly enjoyed Christmas Caralyn. Just when you think you know where this one is going, Jenny Rabe throws you some nice twists, especially at the end. I highly recommend this book.
