Great series

North:This was a great first book of this series. I enjoyed all of the different characters with magical abilities. Oppression and poverty and two worlds colliding. I really wasn't so sure about this series because of the demons aspect, but I think that Hall dealt really well with that and I didn't feel too weird about it. I'm excited to see where things go in the next book. This book was a standalone, but also with a continuing mystery for the rest of the series.West:This was a good second installment in this fantasy sisters saga. Fae and shifters, demons and more. This book tours a fantastical realm where much evil and deception abounds. I will continue this series.South:I think this is my favorite of the series so far. I liked the best friends aspect and some of the unexpected supernatural events. I'm excited to finish out the series.East:This was a good conclusion to the series. We got to see where the series gets it's name. This book brings together our 4 sisters, their significant others, and multiple other aspects. I'm sad to have finished the last item that Hall has published under this name!

Awesome Fae Adventure!!

Very entertaining, fun magical adventure! This series was great! Reviews for each book are below. It’s awesome to get all 4 main books of this series in one set, and the extra chapters!Fae of the North - 5 starsStory starts out with Kiki working as a Peace Officer dealing with Demons; love Demons! Kiki ends up in a strange world on a quest; there’s a poem/prophecy type thing that Kiki needs to get to the bottom of. Loved her strength! She’s a tough cookie! I was getting a little annoyed that she thinks she knows all and doesn’t listen to those who know better, but she gets better as the story progresses. She’s about to find out some things she didn’t know about herself and she’s about to find herself in dangerous situations; luckily, she meets a friend along the way. Unluckily, there’s an evil ruler in this new land she finds herself in.I loved the unique ideas in this story and the adventure the characters go on. Lots of cool magical elements and characters. The world building was lots of fun and interesting; sort of a Fae World type scenario going on. Loved the connection between Kiki and Soren; so sweet! The writing didn’t quite flow for me and I wanted some things to be more in depth, but I was totally entertained the whole book, so I went with the 5 rating. This story ended in a satisfying way, but there’s more to the story. I’m excited to see where the story goes! Looking forward to reading book 2! Excited to see how the characters and story tie in together!Fae of the West - 5 starsLoving this series so far! Unique elements make for a really entertaining story! The premise and characters are interesting and fun! A cool magical adventure! Excited to see where the story goes. Val is a kick butt heroine! She’s an outcast because she can see the magical glamour used to create a facade of decadence for the kingdom she lives in. The false king is fooling the majority of the people, and has some majorly nefarious things in mind. Val is captured and sent to the blood sport ring, but she finds some help with some surprising allies. Loved when Kiki and Soren from the first book come into the story. They are awesome!! Callen’s story is wonderful too! He’s great! The romance is so sweet! It’s a thin line between love and hate. Enjoyed this whole thing!!Fae of South - 3 starsThis one wasn’t quite to my liking. I loved books 1 and 2 of this series; 5 stars for each of them! The writing is still good, and the story still has some interesting and unique ideas that make the story fun. Plus, I still love the overall premise for this series. There’s still awesome magical elements, cool creepy creatures, and some fun adventure. I just didn’t connect with Lea; not a fan of the whole acting tough routine. Lea’s self esteem is low, so this leads her to make weak choices; it makes her easy pickings for those with nefarious plots. Also, I wasn’t a fan of the romance in this one; I didn’t really feel the connection between Tyrren and Lea. They’ve been best friends for a long time, but I didn’t really get that they were that great of friends. Tyrren is in love with Lea, but she keeps him friend zoned. I felt she was too selfish of a friend, and just dismisses his feelings too much. Tyrren is a nice guy; I liked him okay. He is there for Lea 100 percent! Also, I didn’t care for the whole reform school scenario; not into the stupid bully/mean girl junk, and it’s too high school for me. Plus, the Earth setting isn’t as fun as the Fae Realm setting. There was some good action later on in the story, but I wasn’t into the beginning setup for the story. Also, I wish there was more time with the whole group working together. Enjoyed some of the vampire elements to this story too. Despite not loving this one, I’m still excited for the story to continue with the next book! Overall, this series has been great!Fae of the East - 5 starsFun finale! Loved this whole magical adventure! The sisters have finally come together in hopes of taking down the big bad. Fae Elsie is living in the Eastlands, where the Fae are treated very poorly by the Elves. The Elf King Asher has done very bad things, but there’s something else behind Asher’s actions. Elsie and Asher used to be friends and more, but Asher changed overnight, so the connection between Elsie and Asher has taken a hit. Elsie knows something dangerous is afoot, so she does what she can to find answers. Loved the romance in this one! The connection really comes across, and I liked how much they support each other. This whole series has been such an entertaining read! I did want a bit more in the ending; more accountability; Nathina, I’m looking at you, more happiness, more redemption. The ending still has its sadness; especially after reading the prequel, I was hoping for more there. Still loved that all the sisters are so kick butt! Some good action going on with the battles. Loved having them all together with their loves working together and kicking butt! Overall, an awesome series!!Vol...

Good read

The idea for this book was amazing!! I enjoyed the world and the most of the characters, but for me it was hard to continue reading, and at some points frustrating. To me it just felt rushed when I feel like more information or diving into more characters development would have been beneficial within each girls story vs focusing so hard on the big picture part of the story. Over all its a good read!, And I would recommend this to others looking for a ya romance.

All the fantasy and romance tropes in one fun package

This is a very ambitious box set with a little bit of everything thrown in. Seriously - so many flavors of fantasy and romantic tropes. But somehow it works. Book 1 starts as an urban fantasy, then shifts into a portal fantasy with an enemies to lovers romance thrown in! Future books include everything from high fantasy to quests to academy and more. In addition to the fairies, you have shifters, vampires, and a few other magical creatures. It is a bit to keep up with as you shift gears and jump from one sister and her crisis and developing romance to the next and from world to realm, but stick with it - it totally works and it is an exciting ride!I did like that putting so many elements in the book really helped keep it interesting. This is no formulaic read and does not get repetitive as each girl's story unfolds. The growing cast is handled well too which can get tricky especially at the end as the group gets quite large. Fast easy read, lots of fun, but also a bit grim in parts - it does get dark and there are some epic battles. This is an honest and voluntary review of an ARC
