I’m just a witch who has to defeat my enemies...and slay the guy I love.

I’m ticked off—fueling my desire to come up with a plan to get rid of the demon-wraiths once and for all. I just have to find a missing wand—and figure out how to use it—and a missing person. That task takes me to the underworld. Postcards from the trip would include the following highlights: lost items recovered, dangerous ghosts, and matters of the heart aren’t only for the living.

My return to campus doesn’t come with a warm welcome. Tension is higher than ever when the Marauders cause further division among students. If I were any other witch, I’d run for cover or the closest slice of apple pie. Instead, I have to end the arguments and suspicions that are tearing us apart. Good thing I have a wand and am not afraid to use it. But they should be.

My solution? Form the Mavericks—an anti-secret society secret society. Everyone is going to have to choose: freedom or fear. Flight or fight against Marauders and grim forces threatening supernaturals.

But there’s the little problem of getting kidnapped, the campus falling under siege, and a legendary witch who shows her face after years of absence. It's up to everyone to work together against the enemy, but only I can save my one true love. Too bad I’m supposed to kill him. #BossWitch

This has been such a good series. I loved the characters. It is my honest hope to see them again. Maybe follow them into the next school year.

Perfect Ending to the Series

This book had the perfect ending for the series! JJ and Maija are just too cute together! I was definitely getting Hogwarts vibes from Chancellor West so if you liked HP, I think you’ll really enjoy this series!Thank you the author for a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

Good, but I'm glad I'm finished.

I liked the story and it was a good conclusion to the trilogy. I like the characters and the plot of interesting. Sometimes it felt a little bit like a whirlwind where there were things going on that didn't really make a lot of sense to me (like the whole wish magic thing and why it took so long for Maija to use a wish to remove JJ's curse) or things just happening out of the blue and ending really quickly, like attacks and such. Toward the middle of this book I started getting a little bit impatient but also wanted to finish the book to see how everything resolves. I felt a little let down about a couple things: the Tower and Imogen. I felt like there was a lot of build up about these two things in the previous two books but it felt like when these things got actually "screen" time that they were a bit glossed over. Actually, I think there were several plot points that felt a bit glossed over to me, which is maybe why someone's I felt disoriented or confused. Maybe that was done to keep the book shorter? Anyway, as a whole this book was good. Probably not something I'd re-read but something I enjoyed and don't regret.
