The terror is lived by the victims their lack of control in their lives we do not know about as times have changed the status of women in the world.Sickly sweet because far too many words were used by the authour in describing the main romance.

It deals with what is love and how is it expressed. It's a nice story. You want to read on.

Powerful story of love

Having suffered at the hands of his father's betrayal Matthew could have given in to hatred. Having suffered at the hands of her father Adelaide could have given in to not feeling anything at all. Adelaide's father offers her hand as payment for debt and is rescued by Matthew. Matthew rescues Adelaide in many ways: by being kind and patient, Understanding and wise, strong and protective. This is a slow burn, clean romance. Compelling characters and excellent plot. I loved the story! Recommended!!

Enjoyable

I really enjoyed this one. Loved Matthew from the beginning. Kind of took a while to warm up to Addie. She was so sunk into herself and made Matthew jump through so many hoops to please her but eventually she did come around. Nice climax. Lovely ending.
