Life gave her lemons, so Trudy chucked them back.

Trudy’s life is a wreck. No job, a sick son, and a thick stack of unpaid medical bills.

Her family and friends keep trying to set her up. (As if a man will solve all her problems!) Trudy shuts them all down, because she’s got a foolproof plan this time around. She won't go out for so much as a latte until she graduates, finds steady work, and pays off all her debt.

After weeks of looking, she finally lands a paying job. It’s only an interim assistant position, but it comes with medical insurance. Everything is going exactly according to plan.

Until she discovers someone is stealing from her new boss. Trudy reluctantly agrees to help him catch the thief—after all, if the business fails, she’s out of work—but it grows harder and harder to ignore one tiny detail. Her boss is hotter than a summer day in Atlanta, and he’s flirting with her.

But she will not be distracted from what really matters, not this time. She already learned her lesson the hard way—he isn’t Mr. Right if you meet him at the wrong time. Can she stay the course? Or will she find that sometimes the best things in life aren’t on the checklist?

Finding Spring is #4 in The Finding Home Series

Truly is the divorced mother of 4 year old Troy. She is living in her sister's house until she graduates from college and can get a job. Her sister, Mary is about to marry Luke. Mary & Luke want her to meet Luke's brother, Paul. She doesn't want a relationship until she gets her degree and pays her sister back. Trudy gets an assistant job where they call her Gerty. She is hoping to be promoted to an IT position. Her boss is Jack Campbell. Someone is sabbataging Jack's tech project. Trudy/Gerty finds a hidden device and helps save Jack's company. Jack spends time with Gerty and gets to know her son, Troy.
At Mary & Luke's rehearsal dinner, she finds out that Jack is really Luke's brother Paul.
Can Trudy forgive Jack for deceiving her like her ex did? Why does Trudy go to work for Jack's rival? Will Trudy & Paul find their way back to each other?
There is a sweet, although somewhat rushed ending. Many of the characters are from previous books in this series, so if you read some of them, you will be familiar with all of the characters.

Enjoyable

I truly enjoyed this book. I have read several of the books in this series, all out of order so it was good to come back and find out details I had missed when I read Paisley and James ' story.
Trudy is so much stronger than she ever thought. I love that she found herself and came to peace with everything. I loved all the characters in this series. Great job Ms. Baker.
Highly recommend but encourage you to read in order. It's hard for me to pick my favorite. Clean stories .

You keep rooting fir the characters! Not going to spoil it if you haven't read it yet! Saw where they are all connected but read this one cause it was Spring.

I liked it but a little unrealistic, even for me

I enjoyed reading this book, although, I thought it was a little too far-fetched. I don't think I'm giving anything away when I say it's a 'happily ever after.' It was too over-the-top perfect. Both sisters end up marrying multi-millionaire brothers. These two sisters grew up with practically no parenting (their mother abandoned them when they were four and eight, and the father is a dysfunctional drunk). How did they survive as children? Trudy was a little over-board with her independence and her list to be completed before she started dating again, even when this kind, handsome, wealthy, successful man loved her. But I liked the story enough to give it a 4-star rating. It just wasn't one of those books that I was eager to get back to. I knew all along how it would end. The little boy, Troy, was an adorable character, and I liked the bit about him watering the dead plant on the front porch. It comes into play near the end. Cute story, but I'm not going to read any more in the series.
