She's a tough-as-nails paramedic. He's the gorgeous rookie firefighter determined to melt her guarded heart.

Paramedic Leanne Thomas works incredibly hard to be “one of the boys” at the fire station and on the mountain. What the guys don’t know is that she keeps her inner girly-girl completely hidden. When gorgeous rookie firefighter Christian Welton turns on the charm, Leanne shuts him down fast. She absolutely refuses to risk her heart or her hard-earned professional reputation by dating a younger man who also happens to be a coworker.

But Leanne deeply intrigues Christian, especially after she rescues him off the mountain and he catches a glimpse of the softer, more vulnerable side beneath her tough exterior. Though Christian wasn't looking for a relationship, he can’t deny his growing attraction. The romantic conflict ignites when a surprise kiss under the mistletoe sparks a three-alarm fire between them.

The stakes are high for Leanne's heart and her career, and fear is holding her back from fully giving in to the sparks. Will Christian’s persistent charm and kisses be enough to break through Leanne’s tough exterior, or will it take a special dash of Christmas magic for her to finally risk it all on love?

A Good Read

Christine and Leanne were the main characters in this book, although there were many more friends and family too. They both were fire fighters and Leanne also worked with the rescue team. The story takes place in a mountain town where town people as well as visitors came to ski, snowboard and enjoy all sorts of winter activities. Leanne was just one of the boys and that was okay for awhile, but she was beginning to long for more. The story follows Christian and Leanne as they try to figure out what they want their lives to be like.

So Touching

This series is so well written. Depending on the past experiences of the reader, they with impact in different ways, but they are all very real, very touching. This author definitely reaches me. She makes the reader feel through her writing. This is the love story of Leanne and Christian.

A nice light read for the holiday season

I have not read the other books in the series and had no trouble following along. Lead female is very in control and tough. The lead male character was not my favorite until he grew up, which he did. I guess I haven’t really read a romance where the lead male is such a player. I enjoyed the storyline better when he wasn’t as cocky. Christian and Leanne had wonderful chemistry. Wonderful, descriptive writing. I enjoyed the secondary characters. A nice light read for the holiday season.

A Christmas kiss doesn't mean a kiss for New Years

This was a nice growing up and realizing what actually a living relationship is. They were both fire fighters and she was one if the boys. Or was she? It's A nice clean romance.
