I love Melissa McClone stories!

This week, I read Melissa McClone’s His Second Chance. It is book #4 in her Mountain Rescue Romance series. Melissa McClone is one of my most cherished, “go to” authors. I always return to her stories. She knows my heart. The characters, the themes, the settings, and the story lines matter to me. They champion beliefs that I hold dear. His Second Chance is the heartfelt story of two people who desperately need each other. Cullen and Sarah met in Las Vegas, had a two-day relationship, and were married by an Elvis impersonator. Normally, they weren’t wild kids. He was medical Dr. Cullen Gray, and she was volcanologist Sarah Purcell. For each of them, it just felt right.

Now, two years later, nothing felt right. They’d unceremoniously separated. Cullen had relocated to Hood Hamlet and had joined the local tight-knit OMSAR group. Sarah was living in Bellingham, WA and was an integral part of a project studying volcanic Mt. Baker. Studying Mt. Baker was exactly what she was doing when a steam blast assaulted her with dislodged rocks, causing her to fall off the mountain. Her emergency contact: Cullen! When he’s alerted, nothing else matters…only Sarah. She’s in a Seattle hospital, in critical condition. Cullen doesn’t leave her bedside… not for weeks. Eventually he brings her back to his home in Hood Hamlet.

The goal is for Sarah to physically heal, but Hood Hamlet will accomplish much more. Cullen’s friends: Carly, Jake, Sean, Zoe, Leanne, Christian, and even Bill do all they can to assist Sarah’s physical healing, and the emotional healing of Sarah and Cullen “Doc”, Of course, Hood Hamlet contributes a large dose of her magic. She always will. Slowly, but truthfully, Sarah and Cullen begin to understand the amount that each of their tragic childhoods contributed to bad communication during their short marriage, Cullen works tirelessly to reunite with Sarah. It is her desire too, but she’s a bright future for herself.

Just when things are looking up, Cullen is called out on an OMSAR rescue, and Sarah is summoned back to Bellingham… Mt. Baker is erupting again. When Cullen returns home post rescue… Sarah is gone. Will he earn her back? Will Sarah’s lifelong fear subside? Every page of this story is a gift to the reader. Every Melissa McClone story always is. His Second Chance is a 5-star read. Every Hood Hamlet story is. Thank you, Melissa.

Its a great story on how you can jump into a marriage before really knowing the other person but really Loving them. Then you get a second chance due to a accident, its hard to fight for what you want but with a little Christmas magic and LOVE it can all work out for Lava girl and DR Cullin💞💕💋💔💋💖

His Second Chance by Melissa McClone.
Sarah Purcell and Dr. Cullen Gray met and got married quickly. They separated and was on the verge of a divorce then Sarah was hurt in an accident and Cullen rushed to her side and then brought her back home with him to take care of her until she was feeling better. They fell back in love with each other as Sarah was recovering. It is a very good book. I recommend to anyone looking for a good book to read.

second chances are possible if you try

Sarah and Cullen have quite the history. Married in a rush, then separated after a year. But, fate brings them back together in a dramatic way. As they cope with her recovery, things spark between them again. But, can they get over their insecurities and admit their love for one another? An emotional and interesting story about second chances. Good story and series

this emotional rollercoaster made me cry

Cullen and Sarah’s story was heartbreaking and emotionally draining. How many couples have dealt with feelings of worthlessness and felt inadequate in a marriage then have up. They showed the reader there is still hope and anything is possible.
